Anybody knows how to stop camelbaks from leaking? My riding shorts are always wet because the tube of my camelbak drops a little bit of water each time. I hate it so much, I have only used it for 2 years now but it's already leaking!! Hopefully there's some solution from you guys except from getting a new reservoir.

Thanks!

Standing in line that was too effing funny!!!

HAH!!

Seriously, I've been using camelback and other brands for 15 years. I have six, 4 Camelback brand and 2 other.

ALL OF THEM LEAK!!!!!!!

I have NEVER had one that didn't leak, except for the first Go-Be which lasted for about one year.

five of them leak at the filler spout, and one leaks at the tube/bag seal.

My solution was a zip lock storage bag. After you fill the reseviour, place the leaky thing in a ziplock bag, one of the heavy duty ones. then put the whole thing in the back pack. As long as the leak is not too severe, it will keep you dry. It's worked for me for over ten years now.

I used to have the same problem with several of mine. The older models you had to cut the slit yourself. If you didn't use a sharp razor blade and do it in one smooth cut they would drip. The mew models you don't have to cut , they are designed to break open when you pinch them the first time, I don't have any leaks with the new ones.

There are other replacement parts available from camelback. I suspect this may be a mount piece or tube problem. If not, the only hope is a new reservoir.

now... camelbaks are tricky. listen to my instructions carefully. in order to stop your camelbak from leaking you must get a long piece of purple yarn about 33 feet in length. find a large stick nearly 8ft high and 5 inches in circumference. shave the end of it so it comes to a very sharp and narrow point. paint it gold with red stripes like a candy cane.

tie the yarn to a boulder ... one that is too big to carry or pick up. and just leave it sit. purple is the camelbak's favorite colour. okay... once you have let the paint dry on your stick / ancient javelin ... allow the wind to gust to nearly 5knots and you must camouflage yourself with sand... CAMELBAKS cant see sand. throw that thing... throw your ancient harpoon directly at the beast!! i swear to you ... i've done this before. it works ... it'll stop the leakage. good luck.

you should be able to just replace the mouthpiece.
