he's dead....do you love dead guys?

Not everyone does. It is a free will choice.
There is a man who lived and died for his beliefs. A religion was formed from belief in him as a Savior of the world who died that we may return to heaven and not eternity in a lesser place. Some may call it hell. Some may call it the lower a Astral plane. So the Love grows out of appreciation for the sacrifice he made for us and we convince ourselves that our faith is well founded based on out learning. We choose to Love him as we choose to Love God. This is faith in that which you cannot see. It is totally of the heart and mind. It is an explanation of where we came from and where we are going after we die.
If you don't need that , then that is your choice. You may some day and it may be to late because He said he will come in a twinkling of an eye, so be ready! If he doesn't come then you are not out anything. It is Love beyond understanding as scripture says.

What's more important is the fact that Jesus loves everyone.

Because such idiots follow him...
Its hard to love someone that is promoted by bigots, racists, and fascists...

maybe if Christians would stop talking--and they took the story of Jesus out of the bible (away from the old testament and everything after the gospel according to john)...people could see that Jesus was more like a liberal, a communist, and an atheist, than he was like a Christian or a Jew....

I wonder that myself sometimes, but then I am reminded that Jesus Himself said that not all will love Him. Maybe if we, who claim to love Jesus really love Him by doing what He has called us to do, and to love others , people who do not love Him will want to know Him.

Those that don't love Him yet haven't been called to love Him by God yet. It could be maybe God is using the unbelievers for His greater glory. Maybe He plans on using you or someone else to teach them of Jesus. Once you have Jesus, you don't just sit down and call it a day. You have to go out and spread the good news. (Sounds like you are doing it already) Maybe someone new to Yahoo Answers is looking at your question and wondering who Jesus is. Thanks to you, you might have brought that person to Jesus. Don't quit and keep praying. I think the harder a person fights, the harder they will fall.

It is a personal choice. Some are convinced others are not about jesus and his mission. For many he was just a prophet. So you cannot expect every one to love jesus.

We are Blinded by satan from Birth and stay that way till we get Saved.
Born-Again.
GOD has to push back that blindness and give People Chances to Accept Jesus as their Saviour.
FreeWill.
When GOD pushes back that Blindness, people have the Right to say "No".
Alot of them do too! Alot would rather "Party".
Ditto...............
