Well, I've recently had troubles with my digital camera too. But someone helped me out. I'm gonna give you everything I was told to do and it'll hopefully work. Plug the camera into your computer then go to the "Start" menu and click on "My Computer." After you do all that, then click on the drive that your cable is plugged into. When you click on the drive, open the folder and then it should take you to another folder so click on that one too, then your pictures should appear.

When you put the usb cable in and plug the camera into the cable the camera should have something pop up on the dig screen saying like 'computer' or something, and you press select for it so your camera knws that it's being plugged into a computer. Then on your computer, after it has recognised that the cable and camera has been added, a pop up window should appear that gives you otions like view pictures or start slideshow etc...open the one that says open/view file...oen this then a file will oen which contains all of the photos of yr camera then you can pick the ones you want to view or coy of do what ever to.

You don't tell us what the window that popped up said. Windows does have a menu that opens when it detects a digital camera, or device with pictures, asking what you want to do with them - download, or just view, put them in a folder etc. If that is the one, then just click on the option that you want to use. Alternatively, did it say it had detected new hardware and what did you want to do? If so, click on install - it will ask if you have the disc, you will have to say you haven't. Windows may then search for the appropriate drivers.
