Why do they not immigrate legally?

2007-04-14 18:55:28 · 8 answers · asked by Anonymous in Politics & Government Immigration

So Stephano, by your logic if my 2 year old were starving and I broke into your families house and stole food from your table it would be ok.....right? No it would not. I have said this before. if you can't immigrate legally for any reason we do not want you here.

Antis go back to Mexico man.

OK, the money argument is old and invalid anyway. How much do you think they pay coyotes to get them over the border, and start up cash just to get a place, and not to mention how much it costs to get believable fake identification? Thousands of dollars. Probably more then it costs to immigrate here legally, so people need to stop with that argument.

Not to mention that whole $10 a week thing. The economy is different. $10 in Mexico is much different then $10 in the US, obviously, because otherwise they wouldn't survive.

They come here illegally because almost the entire world has a need for immediate gratification, no more no less.

Why do you think? The feds have not enforced immigration laws in a long time. The neanderthal Russians have been sneaking in since the 80's and nothing has been done. If they come here legally they have to pay taxes like the rest of us.

Believe me, they would come here legally if they had the money to do so.

We as Americans have no idea what true poverty is. We are spoiled. We need to sit back and think what we would do to better ourselves if we lived in TRUE poverty. Working 40+ hours a week and only making $10.

It is easy for us to sit here and complain and judge.

They want to be legal. Do you think they enjoy living in fear of deportation? It costs A LOT of money to come here legally and I know first hand most of these people will never make in their lifetime the money it would take. There governments are more corrupt then ours.

I invite all of you judgemental people to travel to some of these countries and experience the life firsthand. Then, I believe you can judge these people.

believe me, money ain't the problem.
the problem is that they have to wait 10 to 15 yrs to get a greencard. would you wait 10 yrs if your 2 yr old kid is starving.?

They have a sense of entitlement. They think this is their land and that we took it from them. Even though it would be a toilet if it was their land.
