He has the job, but isn't really happy with it because it's not really his central area of study, but his status as an atheist is now overshadowing his reputation as a brilliant scientist. He may not be enjoying that, completely.
I'm not sure most atheists even really know who Dr. Dawkins is, so I'm not giving him the job of "Bishop" or "Cardinal".
I WAS pretty amused about the incident that happened in Colorado in his BBC special where that sleeze-weasel preacher, Ted Haggard threw him and his camera crew off of church property, calling him offensive, though rather lame and whitebread names.
About a month later, the preacher resigned in disgrace after a bit of controversy involving meth-amphetamine and a paid homosexual lover. SCORE: Dawkins 1 -- Haggard 0
