Well, I think that you should get a boyfriend when you're in college. I mean, a real boyfriend. Before college, you can always get a playing boyfriend.

In my opinion, there is no appropiate age to start having boyfriends, but I started at 14...If you do decide to have a boyfriend (regardless of age) make sure you don't do it just because everyone else is doing it, do it because you think you are ready to handle the responsibilities of a relationship...and please be sure to make you first time somthing you won't mind remembering~it's not going to be perfect, but make sure that it's not something you will look back on with regret because you can't change it, take it back, and it's hard to forget...So if you do decide to have a boyfriend~don't be afraid to say no to anything he wants you to do that makes you uncomfortable...Good luck and remember to have fun~your young!!

Stay away from dating a guy alone until you're 18. You can go on GROUP dates starting at age 16. Otherwise, you're playing with fire - teens are not mature (although they believe otherwise) and are subject to peer pressure and ego trips and other things that will change as you grow older. Hold out until you're 18 and your mind is coming out of the teen thinking and starting to act more adult!!

I think 16 is the best age. You're kinda in the middle of high school and your mind is maturing at the same time

there's no real "right age" but i think you should be at least 16. but if you decide to have a relationship before you graduate i don't think it should be serious. college changes everything, so just keep it fun and be good friends as well so you have something to fall back on.

18. There is too much going on in high school to date people. My bf now didn't date until he graduated high school. I started when I was in 8th grade....looking back I wish I would have waited to date people...but each bad relationship I had made me that much stronger...i knew what I needed to look for the next time...

It's NOT a rite of passage. You don't HAVE to have a bf by a certain time, regardless of what your friends or popular media tries to tell you.
