This may be very confusing, but i will try to explain it to the best of my ability. So let's say your driving down the road and you approach a red light. You have 2 lines that represent the crosswalk, and 1 line that represents where to stop. Now, my question is, that single line represents how far you can go before entering the crosswalk right? Does this Single line represent where your front bumper can go, or is it your front tires?

Message for coaltruck344: No I didn't get pulled over, quit assuming that you know everything.

All others: Just for the record, we are talking about the line that appears before the crosswalk. Example: 3 lines total, 2 for the crosswalk, 1 before you get to the crosswalk. Thanks

well depends on if the cops are around; if you answered yes to this then bumper to line, if you answered no then tires. but just remember that people dont always stay in the lines of the crosswalk either so i usually let the bumber hang out a little over.

Front bumper. Why would you be able to stop IN the crosswalk where people walk? Because if you put your tires on that line, your bumper would be IN it. And that's a NO-NO!

its your front bumper. just treat it as if you were at a normal light and that line is the crosswalk. around where i live its mostly near schools that they have lines like that.

You, by law in most states, must stop short of the cross walk. That is why the other line is on the approach side of the cross walk.
