And Isaiah 45:11-13 gives us the reason for this comment.
It is proof that he has the power to do so but not without issuing a warning first so lives can be saved.
Ezekiel 5:15; 33:4-7; 1 Corinthians 10:11; Hebrews 12:25

God can cause disasters. He did when he caused the flood of Noah's day. However, reading the bible, we see clearly that when God brings on a disaster, he always warns people ahead of time and makes provisions for those who heed the warning to escape. There is someone else who can cause disasters also. Consider Hebrews 2:14- Therefore, since the “young children” are sharers of blood and flesh, he also similarly partook of the same things, that through his death he might bring to nothing the one having the means to cause death, that is, the Devil.
We as humans also cause disasters. In the opinion of a number of scientists, human-induced changes in earth’s atmosphere and oceans have made our planet a dangerous place by contributing to more frequent and more severe natural disasters.

You can take it as Gospel if you like. I say that God created and delegated creation. I say there are universal Laws established and if they are violated, there is cause and effect.
as a result. Consequences for behavior.
You cannot destroy what God created. You can destroy what man has made. Don't blame God for our doing.
Natural disasters are a result of changes borough about by a cleansing process. We have interfered with our environment in many ways. What do you think would happen when you cause global warming? Rev. TomCat

Interesting how different versions of the Bible render this verse. The King James Version renders it: "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things."
I guess later translators couldn't handle the thought of God creating evil, so they tried to soften it. Notice that the word LORD is in all capital letters. The name under this word is not God, it is Yahweh. If you believe that Yahweh is God then I guess he clearly does create evil or disasters according to this verse.

It seems that the Bible states pretty clearly that God blesses and He also chastises. Remember what the Bible mentioned about the pharaoh in Egypt during Moses' time? How many plagues did God send against those who chose evil over good? So yes, God sends disasters, but He has His reasons... and the world's misbehavior is the cause.

Since you quoted from the Bible, then I would say it's us, "human" cause disasters. The old testament God always wanted to kick people's butts since they sin so much. Well, we don't really know if the Bible is telling the truth or not, I would still say human causes disasters. Our technology is hurting the earth, stuff like global warming. Human are not doing so much about helping the earth, global warming has changed globe's climate. Then those unwanted disasters happened just like what the Bible says...

As an Atheist i'm able to ensure that the Bible, wether or no longer you have self assurance it to be the observe of God, is barely a e book and it can not create failures. Asian Tsunam and the Haity earthquake are called "acts of God" yet they are in actuality organic occurences.

No. That was Isaiah's idea not mine. I live in the twenty-first century with weather reports and stuff.
God doesn't hurt us ever on purpose, but the world happens cause we wanted the Ying and Yang that is a part of life in this worldly existance. God gives us what we want.
