Being in San Antonio, I got a promotional brochure from Cornerstone in the mail yesterday. In it was a story of a youth group rally that gave away 3 IPods to winners of a drawing.
These IPods came complete with several hours of John Hagee's sermons!!!!!! Boy, I bet those kids were thrilled.
Care to make any predictions how long those sermons were on there before they were erased?
In case any of you don't know him, John Hagee is a fundie preacher and his church is huge. He lives in a million dollar + mansion in the same neighborhood as George Strait and some of the Spurs. He broadcasts nationwide, I believe, his sunday sermons of hellfire and bigotry.

Oh, LORDY!! ROTFL.
Heck, my food just went through my nasal passages like a bat outta hell and now I have a splitting migraine. See what you've done? How can I answer you now.
I would say that unfortunately they probably are still lasting in homes of evangelists and fundamentalists. As for kids brought up with reality and rationale, that crap was thrown out in the garbage with last week's leftovers.
You are hysterical. "...his sermons of hellfire and bigotry". I'm not getting up from the floor this evening. What a terrifically well-worded question. Ooh, I hope you get some answers from fundies. That would make it SO much more fun. I'm gonna go check, now...

Your bigotry toward Christians is showing. I am sure that the kids in the youth group to which you refer are not as quick to erase the sermons as you might think.
Whether you agree with John Hagee's preaching style or his lifestyle is no reason to be so judgmental and vitriolic.
Obviously, he appeals to a much larger group of people in the Christian faith than you do.
God will make the final judgments, my friend, so the best we can do while on this earth is try to be discerning and form a close relationship with the Lord.
I think you fit the definition of a hypocrite, don't you? God bless you and keep you. Hope you get the opportunity to listen to any sermon with an open heart and an open mind.

I have seen some of his sermons and after hearing about him living in a mansion makes me mad. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone!" He does a lot of finger pointing or talk negatively otherwise some of his teachings are good. But I think I'd respect him a lot more if he lived a modest lifestyle instead of a mansion.

Just about as long as it take to plug into there computers!
I Like John Hagee, and he does not teach bigotry. Sometimes our hearts deceive us with our own bigotry.
Jesus is Lord.

I'm just glad to hear that there are people out there with iPods with more pathetic things on them than mine.
Mine is crammed with law lectures.

A free IPod still wouldn't be enough to make me want to go.

Maybe you should listen to those sermons? If you do and apply them to your life, you will be surprised how things can change you.
