Saint Rita of Cascia is a real saint; she was canonized May 24, 1900. Joan of Arc is a real saint too, she was canonized in May 1920. Which one you want to choose for your confirmation name is up to you. Remember, the saint you choose will have a special relationship to you, and should pray for you. So choose the one you like best. I chose Saint Catherine of Siena because of her mystical marriage to Jesus. There are some really interesting sites online about saints; here's one that I often visit: http://www.catholic-forum.com/SAINTS/patron02.htm

God bless you, may you find the confirmation saint/name that is the best for you!

I am a saint. And IF those people trusted God through Jesus Christ, then they too are saints!

Glory to God!
