esp. if he always pays - he always insists on paying and gladly does it everytime we go out to eat - just me and him. One time, i managed to steal the check before he could pay, and i paid. he seemed kinda surprised that i treated HIM and he was smiling and held me tight and said, "you know, this still doesn't mean you're gonna pay for everything...you just beat me to it"

the fact that a guy pays for dinner on a date is all based on our culture. I am i guy and i always pay, i think that its a good thing and if someone wanted to take my sister out. he better pay....my girl always tries to pay and iam pretty sure over the five years we have been dateing she has paid once or twice but i still insist... due to our culture tho a lot of guys kinda feel wierd when a girl pays, we are almost tought that its wrong....its no big deal that you payed tho, thats sweet..if he acted a little wierd thats normal...Tip- let em pay

yea you seem like a great guy, but you are going kind of overboard. You are still only 18, and most girls at that age don't want that level of committment. I'm 17 and i've broken up with guys for "liking me too much." I think you should move on, and with the next one, relax a little. Try and just have some fun, because i doubt you're going to find a girl that wants to settle that much in college. Also, if you can, keep her guessing. If you keep her on her toes, she'll be hooked longer. be a good boyfriend, but don't be overly attentive.

Some guys feel the need to do these kind of things so let them. If you do it not much appreciation is in it, because they expected to do it anyway so let him do the 'due.' However you can show your appreciation by surprising him with a small gift or something special like a romantic get away or exciting evening. Just do as you would like to be done and you shall receive. God luck and Good LOVE.

Most normal guys would. He'd have to be one macho dude to get upset over you picking up the tab. It shows that you're independent and consider it a relationship that is not built on money.
I've always found it best to evenly share the costs over time, unless one party is at a severe economic disadvantage.

When i dated my rule was if the girl didnt offer to pay by the 3rd date that was the last....I have seen to many guys get taken advantage of by girls that were only in it for fancy meals and such...
Yes men greatly appreciate it because it lets us know that we are not a walking wallet/..
