Yes. They are both real. In heaven we will have the perfect understanding, so we will not miss the people who are not there.
If your daughter is a child, she will be saved regardless. : )

Heh. I find some of the answers a bit insensitive, especially the ones explaining to you why you shouldn't be upset if your daughter goes to Hell.
Here's my humble, liberal Christian view. When Jesus talked to Nicodemus in John's Gospel about eternal life, he made it seem like it was the exception and not the rule for someone to attain eternal life. This is also the case when he said that the path to eternal life is narrow, and only a few find it. Perhaps instead of billions of people burning forever in some sort of fiery Hell, most people just...die. You know, like every other biological organism on this planet. But we're not just any organism. We are aware of our own mortality, and we are also aware that many of our natural instincts lead us to harm each other, and because we know those things that we do every day are wrong, we do not deserve to be in God's presence forever. In other words, we want to live forever, but none of us deserve to. So maybe God so loved the world that he gave us a way to be reconciled with him, and those that follow the path Jesus described, their consciousness will live forever with God. But most won't. Most people simply "perish," or cease to exist. It certainly seems more consistent with a just God than eternal torments in hellfire. Then again, I could be wrong.

I do not believe in either heaven or hell. My mom does... she truly believes she will die and meet my dad and god in heaven. She is saddened that, due to my atheism, I won't be there too.
I think we die and that's it. Life your life while you're on earth. Why wait until your eternity to get along with your daughter. If there is strife, make it up to each other here on earth, not after death.

The mind is its own place, and in itself

I realize that the people in this forum are probably getting very tired of hearing this and I also realize that you probably do not think I am giving you an answer to your questions but it is what I am called to do.
I do not know anything that God has not told me. I trust in Him and where I do not understand...I just keep trusting in Him.
Man is foolish to think that his ideas mean anything to God. They do not. He laughs at us in our meager attempts to convince others that he exists or does not exist. He is who He is and He shall do what He shall do.
Seek God....trust in Him...and Be at Peace.

In heaven there will be NO father, mother, children anymore. We are all one big family. Your children will not be your children anymore, they will be your brothers or sister.

Of course not.
Let's stop being infantile.
God is imaginary and, it follows, so are all the attached fables.
There is no heaven, hell, angels, after-life, soul, etc, etc.
To believe so is to demonstrate your lack of intelligence.
