We truly ARE what we eat. Food is our fuel; food is what builds the replenishing cells in our bodies. We've all been in this giant experiment about ingesting various chemicals and the results are in: A lot of the stuff we eat is slowly killing us. So really, what is more important than the food we eat? Plus, organic food is SO much friendllier for the environment. It allows us to be healthy in more than one way. How much inspiration should we need?? Anyway, the demand is going up and the big food companies are getting involved, so the prices WILL come down. Bon appetit!

I think it might depend on the value you put on yourself, and the possibilities of living longer or better - an issue which seems to mean little when one's young and bullet-proof but is more significant as potential future shrinks, along with capabilities increasingly limited by the effects of past follies. Of course there's the exhortation to eat drink and be merry - and my long-late Grandpa used to say "A short life in the saddle, Lord, not a long life by the fire". But he didn't believe in any Lords and was very grumpy about dying in his 90's. Perhaps the solution is to eat less, more selectively, and chew your food slowly? Of course, growing your own is the tastiest and healthiest but probably the most expensive. And rubbish is the cheapest of all, as most well-marketed stuff demonstrates. But why insult yourself with anything less than the best, even if there's less of it.

I hear ya.
What I've been doing is replacing things - For example, instead of buying white bread I'll by brown (which is usually around the same price). There's at least one easy fixing: switch all your whites to browns.
As for fresh fruits and veggies, slowly replace something (or several things) that are unhealthy for one kind of fruit. That sorta thing.
Swap it up in a way that the money somewhat evens out. See how that goes for ya. In "poorer" countries, the unhealthy food is expensive. Wow is this world ever upside down!
Good luck! I'm still struggling with this all!

Fact Organic foods are more expensive
Myth All healthy foods cost more!
Its a scam to think that all healthy food cost alot! You know I went to the grocery store and spent $87 (We saved $20 because of coupons and specials) on me and my fiance for a whole months of food.
I got frozen vegetables that were low in calories, steak, chicken, turkey bacon and sausage, deli meats, seafood, cheese, whole grain cereal and milk and some fruit!
Healthy great tasting food isnt expensive its just right in the reach of your pocket book!

hi, It must be extra healthy because of the shortcoming of chemical components and insecticides etc. organic and organic nutrition is extra powerful for you and does flavor extra powerful. i replaced into raised on organic and organic, then in a protracted time lived on processed ingredients yet am now back onto organic and organic nutrition. The extreme value of organic and organic nutrition will at last drop as extra human beings soak up the alternative. wish that this has helped.

I'm hoping that in time the prices will come down. I can't buy them at the current price. I just do the best I can, wash fruits and vegs well, read nutrition labels. Best wishes for good health.
