I'm 19 and I've gained quite a bit of weight in the past few years and I noticed that I've got tons of white stretchmark on my bum and I would love to make my stretchmarks less obvious. I've read that Palmers cocoa butter and any kind of cocoa butter/shae butter will work but do they work on WHITE stretchmakrs as well? also, people were saying that BIO OIL do wonders as well but thats quite expensive for me (uni student)

so my question is, which product is the most effective in reducing the appearance of stretch marks? Palmers Cocoa Butter, Lush Therapy Massage Bar (Cocoa butter+shae butter), vitamin E tablets or Bio Oil??

any other suggestions are welcomed~
Thanks in advance :)

If they are white, then this is an indication that they are old and have in sense already faded. The good news is, they can be made less noticeable with daily moisturization. Use can use any 24 hour moisturizer to do this, but I recommend Palmers Shea Butter Formula because it is so rich and gives a slight sheen.

I am 5 months pregnant and I have about 4-5 stretch marks and none on my breast or tummy. I use this Palmer's Organic Olive oil butter. I purchased at Target. It was over ten dollars and well worth it. I have such lush skin, its a miracle. I also use Shea Butter, and firming cream with sea kelp in it. I wish you the best of luck!

I never had any luck with any of those. I hear mederma works faster at fading the stretch mark than waiting for time.

Having a tan helps hide them (spray tan) but you said you were on a budget so maybe a home tanning lotion.
Try not to worry to much as they are quite normal and most people have them.

well, i have an old-fashion idea. get a trash bag and tie it over you waist or wherever you may have them, while your around your house (cleaning up or doing laundry). my mother has four children and it has worked for her every time. but if you don't want to do that, try going to your local drug store and ask for the cream called "Mother's Friend". you may not tbe a mother but it takes stretch marks away really fast!
