We do not know why the Blessed Virgin Mary appears mostly to Catholics.
Here are a couple of instances where she appeared to non-Catholics:
+ Our Lady of China appeared to 9 Buddhists: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Our_Lady_of_China
+ Our Lady of Assiut appeared to Coptic Christians: http://www.zeitun-eg.org/assiut.htm
With love in Christ.

I do not know for fact if Mary only appears to Catholics.
If this is true, that Mary only appears to Catholics, does that not speak volumes in favor of the credibility of the Catholic Church, thus spreading the Word?
Perhaps, by appearing to (allegedly) Catholics only, Mary is sending a message to all non-Catholic Christians as well as the Catholic ones.

Actually, that's not quite true. There was a very famous case involving a Jewish man, Alphonse Ratisbone, who was converted to Catholism by an apparition of the Blessed Virgin:

The story of Ratisbone's vision and subsequent conversion is about 3/4's of the way down the page.

Don't know if Catholics are the only one that have had visions. Only the ones that have been reported are Catholics.

The textual content truly states "until eventually she had given beginning to her firstborn son." There are 2 belongings you want to comprehend about the language used the following. initially, the note "until eventually" in basic terms ability "up until eventually that factor." It does no longer mean that issues replaced after that factor and that Mary and Joseph had kinfolk. It in basic terms ability there have been no kinfolk before that factor. the 2d is the Protestant misinterpretation of the word "firstborn son." In Biblical circumstances, this replaced into in straightforward words a criminal time period. It replaced into in no way a demonstration that there have been different little ones after Jesus. also, Mary states herself that she is "the handmaid of the Lord." (See Luke a million:38) that's indicative that she replaced right into a temple virgin. This replaced into uncommon for Jewish women, yet nevertheless suited. As a temple virgin, Mary ought to were thoroughly consecrated to the Lord, as indicated by technique of her personal fact. definite, she replaced into betrothed to Joseph on the point that Jesus replaced into conceived interior her womb by technique of the flexibility of the Holy Spirit, yet Joseph replaced right into a lot older than she replaced into, maximum probably a minimum of two times her age on the time, and maximum probably, also, a widower. His pledge ought to were to appreciate her vows of virginity and consecration to the Lord, that's why he ought to were chosen to be her better half. Many Protestants also factor to the Bible saying that Christ had brothers and sisters. lower back, it really is a confusion of language. at the same time as Joseph might have had quite a few step-siblings from Joseph's first marriage, the note "brother" or "sister" in basic terms meant "close relative" at this era of time. in truth, we nevertheless use the time period on the instantaneous, when we call close pals or cousins our "brothers" or "sisters" or when we search for suggestion from with different Christians as our "brothers" and "sisters" in Christ.

Probably because God reaches everyone in a way that they would understand.
I'm a very rational person, and I am completely convinced that nothing on earth could have caused what happened at Fatima, Portugal in 1917. You should research it.

I believe that we are given whatever we need to answer our prayers...
I don't ask for visions of Mary.. and if I did have one.. would I recognize her? (I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.. not a Catholic).. so there would be no reason for me to receive a vision of her.

because catholics have been brainwashed to believe she has power and is different from any other saint in heaven. Mary was simply a virgin who carried the Son of God in her womb as a surrogate mother. Yes, a good Jewish woman who loved God. thats all. but they insist on deitizing her. they even pray to her. isnt that having "a strange god before God." you cannot worship or pray to Mary. she has no power.
