Yep, God made you the way you are.
Personally, I am enchanted with your honesty. You are not one to parrot what some preacher says. You cannot see "faith in Christ" as simple "fire insurance".
I feel confident that God is tugging at your heart strings, even now. In time, I believe, you will be a fine, strong Christian...the kind of kid God can be proud of.
In the meantime, I intend to pray for you. Please, don't ever stop being honest, with yourself, or with others...and especially with God. He has promised to reveal Himself to all who seek Him sincerely...I am sure that, if you continue to keep an open mind and an open heart, He WILL reveal Himself to you, also.
God bless you!!

queen: Doesn't this take us back to the Garden - the one in Eden when it was stated by the serpent - Satan -( Genesis chapter 3, verse 4 ) about "becoming like God, knowing [knowledge] both, good and evil". If knowledge (logic) were enough, we wouldn't need a relationship with our Creator. This world would be next to a perfect world. Yes; God did make you and I this way but we are "incomplete" without a relationship with our Creator. The problem is, that us humans have to arrive at the point in our individual lives to come to see the need for this. Until then, we are on the way to nuclear war, Global warming, weather changes, and disease pan-demics to name a few. BUT; take heart (no pun intended) Jesus Christ is returning to this earth to give all those who never had the opportunity nor the "calling" in this life to do so, a chance at it then. Considering all - we ALL win in the END !!!

Logic superceded my faith.....
Would you die for a lie? Endure torture for something you knew was even a little doubtful? Would you be willing to lose family and friends, comforts of home or your career for something that was just an emotional rush? NO, that would be silly..........so, consider this:
The Apostles claimed to be eyewitnesses to the fact that Christ rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven. For this they were beaten, imprisoned, tortured, accused falsely, stoned, crucified. It is historical FACT that these apostles lived and died these tragic deaths. The only point of contention (with some) is that they were just some early cult and that christ didn't really die , etc, etc. Do eyewitnesses
die for a lie??? What about the 100,000,000 martyrs since them??? Faith doesn't require as much as many suppose, but you have to do the homework and let the "reasoning" that God gave us work towards the truth, with no roadblocks.

He would see right through that, but that is also why He gave us His Word, so that we may use the writtings in there to prove itself. I'm also a logical person, and I have had trouble coming to terms with God, but He has helped me see what it is that I needed to see. Research it, the Bible that is. Not in itself, but in other histories.
Did you know that the Bible is the scientifically proven book in the world? Well, other than those published very recently. It is follow, very far behind, by Homer's Iliad. Reference the stories in the Bible to other facts of history. It's amazing how accurate it is. And it is only logical to believe what the most accurate book in history says, right?
To a point. Don't follow it blindly. I found that simply reading the Bible, perhaps for 30 minutes a day (my lunch break - 5 days a week), helped me to become more willing to listen to what it said. *shrugs* Maybe this won't help you any, maybe it will. But do know that I'll be praying for you (oh, and please, always pray before reading the Bible - it's a simple practice that helps alot).

I didn't believe in God until I started reading the Bible. I was like you and felt that none of that was logically possible. But then I read that a lot of Christians don't actually believe the whole universe was created in 7 actual calendar days, but that a "day" could mean several millions of years. Once I realized that there was room for interpretation in the Bible, I started seeing it in a completely different way. I saw that logical science and religion can coexist. :)

searching for God is not about feelings...it is about faith...2 very different things....we are not to be led by feelings...emotions are so fickle...faith is not about fear either....I don't believe because of the fear of hell...that has nothing to do with it....I came to God with an open heart and I sought Him.....and in my search I came to faith that what I was learning and seeing around me was the truth......and you say logic isn't evil...but every ones logic is based upon there own life..experiences......what they have learned and what they perceive to be real....so yes it can be evil to a point...it is mixed with our own opinions of what is logical and what isn't.....but faith is more than logic.....requires more of an individual....we are all capable of believing in something..that would cause another to be skeptical.....the question is what is it you truly believe in....so where you say you are a person of logic and that you make your decisions upon what you FEEL....I am opposite....I am a person of faith and don't go by feelings or emotions...but by hope and that is faith....

i do no longer have faith in God, i'm an atheist. i've got faith that the belief of God substitute into created via people. people have sought out non secular coaching because of the fact the sunrise of time, and the theory of a extra suitable being substitute into probably basically the manufactured from shock and uncertainty. Legends discovered interior the Bible would if fact be told basically have been memories to calm fretful toddlers and safeguard against a harsh actuality. perchance all legends are in simple terms that, legends. Fairy memories and mythology and God, they could be considered as lies, or as comforting memories that help people in situations of dire choose.

I hear everything you're saying. You don't want to be false in your beliefs. That's valid. Let's just set everything you said aside for a moment and let's look at this possibility:
Do you know everything there is to know? No, of course not! No one does. Okay, how about this. Do you know half of everything there is to know? No again. Lots of information out there about millions of things.
Just for arguments sake, let's say the things about God, about Jesus, about the bible, are in the half of things that you don't know about right now. That doesn't mean at some point in time, you won't have the opportunity to really consider them, differently as how you're thinking about them right now.
In the course of our lives, there is an ebb and flow to how we perceive, what we believe. Keep yourself open to the possibility that these things so many Christians speak of, that they "know"...right now, you are not in the same place, the same position of "seeing". Don't shut yourself off from the possibility that these things may be true.
Best wishes,

You should check out some of the information written by Chuck Missler about spirituality and Christianity. Faith is not easy, he uses scientific method and statistics to explain revalent prophecy. A Privileged Planet is also a very interesting read. I agree that it is not the motivation of going to hell that should lead to to belief, maybe the promise of life.

yes dear one, God did make you that way, and he loves you just as you are.
people who choose to follow Christ out of fear never stay with him. He want you to use that logic to find Him, not because you fear Him but because He love you just as you are, that is why he gave his life for you, and if you had been the only one, He would have given his life just for you.
I went through the fear thing, until i was 18, and then I left the church, but i found God through His love.
