If you believe satan is real, how do you know that what you believe to be right is actually right? It could be Satan is making it seem that it is right.

Note: This is to those who believe Atheists cannot have morals without religion.

Lol, that is a good point.
If they believe Satan misleading humanity about X or Y... then how do they know that he's not misleading them about Christianity itself?

Maybe everyone is supposed to be a Zoroastrian.

now lets now revert to the mentallity of the old yahoo message boards. I know what i believe is right because I have the Holy Spirit who guides me. I also know whats wrong by the same Spirit. What would be satans purpose to make you believe in Jesus? are you for real with a question like that. Look satan is real, and that is that. He is described as the "son of perdition" , the devourer, and a liar and a thief. play it safe and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Things will be clearer then.

Some things are patently obvious to all whether there is a devil or not. For instance, I don't know of any atheist, Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Jew, or for that matter anyone, who will tell me that its OK to murder them and their entire family. How do you suppose that all of us with such a diversity of opinion about spiritual things will agree to this basic premise?

In the end, the idea that an absolute right or wrong is unknowable is philosophically indefensible since none of us is willing to live this way. It may sound noble to espouse such things in the desire to appear wise and open-minded, but it's actually impractical, and under pressure is shown to be such.

How do you know, then, that this universal thing is not something placed in us by God? Would you have me believe that something so complex, inconvenient and counter Darwinian evolution as the desire to sacrifice oneself for an ideal evolved? Would you have me believe this beneficially selects those who do this? On the contrary, they exterminate themselves! How then did this trait "evolve?" It seems far more sensible to admit this is contrary to our natures and is in fact foreign to them. Logically, this leads to the idea of it having been planted there against our wills. Who else can or would do this but God? This is actually the rub, isn't it?

There has to be a yin to every yang. Satan's existence allows us to see the differences between right and wrong. We are also able to see the examples made of those who choose to side with Satan: Addiction, death, imprisonment..etc.

Atheists can see these differences as well. Just because they don't have religion doesn't mean that they are less aware of the evils that exist,

When you do something that you know is right, you feel right, when you do something you know is wrong, you feel wrong. So, is that my conscience? Some people lack a moral compass inside themselves, why is that? Is it because they were never taught the difference between right and wrong? There are lots of things that have opposites: right and wrong, good and bad, up and down, left and right, light and dark, etc...All of those things couldn't have just come from chance or nothing at all. God or His Adversary. Or maybe somewhere in the middle, at least that would be a better choice than choosing to please Gods biggest enemy.

I just have faith. I believe that the Bible is the word of God.
I didn't always believe in the Bible, but when I studied the Bible I started to apply what I was learning and started to change for the better. I am a totally a different person now. I felt there was a Spirit that was helping me make the changes. I really feel I wouldn't have been able to change if it was not for the Bible. I know the Bible was written by men, and imperfect men like you and I. But they were inspired by God to write the scriptures. Just like if you and I owned a business and we wanted to write a letter to another company and we meet with our secretary and told her what to write. Even though she wrote or typed the letter, it really came from you and I. We told her what to write. I really believe that Jehovah God created us and sent his Son Jesus Christ to die for us. God loves us and wants to have a relationship with us. I have faith in this.

Morals are not determined by religion or the lack of it. (I am a Christian by the way)

Satan can and does deceive many. He has deceived me in the past. He is a liar and a deceiver from the word go. Only God can give someone the truth...not man...not a church body. I have learned to trust in God by listening for his truths and acting on them. How do I know it is God? I have no way of answering that honestly...I just know.

1John 4:1- 3 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God.
But every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. (NIV)

Well it's called "discernment" and some believe it comes through a process...sometimes known as a spiritual awakening. Some believe it comes divinely and suddenly...being filled or recieving the Holy Spirit. Some believe it comes through continued edification of bible study and research...dilligently seeking the word of God. Perhaps all these must be accomplished before one attains true discernment.

Good morals are helpful in controlling society's problems. Mankind's sin problems are caused by mankind's rebellion against God.

One can follow good morals, be as good as can be and still be lost.

Jesus tells us that love is the answer to our problems. He tells us to love God with all of our heart, mind and soul. And to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. This promotes the kind of morals that He teaches.

Acceptance of Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is what God requires for a relationship with Him. Not religion.

Satan is very liberal with his morals. They will always ultimately hurt us or someone else.

You asked: "Is Satan really Jesus?" and "Is the Bible from Satan?"

My Answer: Satan came here to steal, kill and destroy. He does. Jesus came to give abundant life, salvation and forgiveness. He does.

So, you decide.
