If your religion has a heaven (by that or any other name), how is it that you "qualify" to get into it?
I don't know much about the subject. Please feel free to use links - I hate to think of people typing for a long timeAnd still having only the potential for 10 points ;)

As an Irish-leaning Druid, I personally believe in a multitude of worlds and heavens. This is not the first, the last, or the only world. Many of us feel that the Otherworld occupies the same space as the Earth. The veil is thin and we are in the realm of heaven now, or at least we are always close.

As we believe in personal responsibility rather than "sin", there is little to bar us from entry into the next state of being. The only qualification to entering the Otherworld or nemh (heavens) is death, and even that prerequisite is disregarded frequently in the Old tales and histories. There is no telling which of the Otherworlds, Underworlds, or Heavenly Plains we will arrive at, only that we will be going somewhere as the life spark is eternal in our minds.

In my religion (Daemonolatry) we don't have a heaven. Many of us believe in the reincarnation of matter and energy (what was once us) and we're divided on whether or not there is reincarnation of consciousness (such as - you're reborn as another sentient being type thing). Meaning basically that when we die, many of us believe we simply go back to all that is and what was once us is basically recycled. Some believe our consciousness returns to and becomes part of the universal consciousness. But there isn't a heaven and everyone (regardless how they lived or died) goes back to all that is and the universal consciousness [i.e. the highest God (of all the gods)].

It replaced into my super-grandfather's call, and his father's, and additionally you are able to hint it back to Switzerland interior the 1500s. that's a protracted custom. assorted the time, i like it, because of the fact it is unusual (and it was extra unusual, formerly it became renowned approximately ten years in the past. Now i pass to be fifteen years older than all the different Christians working around.) that's slightly diverse for me, because my call remains for sure Christian in commencing place, while John or Thomas are much less so (John and Thomas the two predate Christianity - the call Christian would not.) i'm unlikely to alter it, even with the undeniable fact that - it is my call. to boot, i be attentive to Christians named Mordecai, Dennis, and Thor, so it is not as while you're required to have your theophoric call carry an identical god you worship.

Aha!!! an open minded Christian (I'm guessing by the title) how i have been searching!!!

Right, now to me humans can become gods themselves-only after death..actually I'm rethinking that theory right now and i KNOW that most of you reading this are saying good job for snapping out of it

anyways, i would think sometimes that why do humans only use 10% of the brain? why not more? I say that after we die we can use the rest!!! We become godly beings ourselves and can create our own little universes and planets and fill them with life...course i might be completely wrong but if i was THE GOD then i would allow humans to be creative with his type of powers!!!

yes i am crazy :D

but thanks for asking and being open minded!!!
(oh btw i also really like the Norse religion, Thor, Odin, Loki...if you die in battle you go to Valhalla, no matter if you were good or evil-the way you died mattered not how you lived)

I'm not Christian or atheist. I also don't believe in having a specific religion. I believe in heaven. I think the only way to get there is to live your life as honestly and decently as you can. Help out others as much as you reasonably can, when you can. Just my opinion on the matter.

For one, the word religion...............it is not a part of my vocabulary. I don't follow any religion.

On the other hand.........my spirituality is whatever I want it to be. If there is a heaven, I believe I will see it according to my good deeds.

However, I personally believe that I shall see another life (much like reincarnation)..................I'm not saying that I will evolve into something else ( I can't be for sure) but I think that my soul shall travel and continue to live after my flesh dies. This is my belief. I didn't read any books to get this theory although I've heard that certain religions might sound similar to my own beliefs. I am not a follower of any of those faiths.

Hmmm .... as much as I've looked at a few faiths ... the only answer is ...
It doens't matter what the human professes cuzz ...... their are so many people that fool themselves and think they fool their God.

SO ..... the God will always make the final decision ..... knowing the heart .... the mind of the person.

I grew up in a Christian home, but as an adult I chose not to attend church any longer. I can't say that I believe in heaven or hell. I can't say that I believe in God or Satan. I do believe that if one is a good person and lives his/her life with the belief of being a good-hearted person, that in the living world he/she will have the satisfaction of knowing that they were good-willed. And, in his/her after life (if there is an after life), they will have their bases covered since they were good in the living world. It's just my opinion though.

Heaven is a reward offered to convert people. Organized religion needs an incentive to keep the butts in the seats.
Follow the path, not the dogma.

My religion does. My religion is the church of latter day priest rapers. You qualify for heaven by sodomizing the sick priests who rape little boys until they repent and finally go to jail. Then, you live a good moral life like most non-christians do, the only rule is you have to respond to any attempt by a christian to convert you with over the top, offensive even to a sailor, comments
