I don' think the computer is reading it right. It's reading it like a cd would be read. I can't even find the files on there

It won't let me look at the pics and they came from my camera. I downloaded all the pictures straight off my camera to my laptop. After that I copied them to a cd and i am on my grandmas computer and it won't let me see them or do anything like that. It gives me options but it is like do you want to play this cd with windows media player and the stuff you would see when you put a cd in there to be copied.

All you have to do is drag the pictures from the CD, and drop them wherever you want them to be.

A lot of computers ask you what you want to do when you 1st put the CD in like or at least will give you options if you have some type of picture or media software. If you can view the pics, then maybe you can try right clicking while the pointer is on one of pictures and it should give you an option to save or copy. You should then be able to save it to your computer. The CD may be copy protected or something like that preventing them from being downloaded.

what do you know? Meaning... Is the CD in the drive and you can't find the files? You CAN see the files but don't know what steps to take from there? Are the pics in a familiar format (jpg for example) and recognized by your computer?
Additional Response: I am new to 'answers' don't know how to have a 'conversation' or answer twice without editting...
What did you use to burn the CD, software wise? I think you said, camera to laptop, laptop to cd, cd to Grannies pc... Did they open on the laptop prior to writing them to cd? Did any of your right click options work as asked before? In 'my computer' right-click cd drive and explore to view files or hold down shift when inserting disc to bypass auto read function of cd drive.

Allot of times that is caused by people that leave the auto load turned on for their CD players. It expects to see a music or video format.Turn it off. Put the CD in the drive. Use Explorer to access the CD drive and you should see the picture files in what ever folder or folders you loaded them in to. My Pentax, for example, puts the actual picture files in a sub folder of a parent folder so when (with a card reader) I load them to my computer, I use Explorer to find them. Generally, then I use ACDsee to view them. The same is more apt to be the case on your CD, unless you simply stored them in the root directory of the CD after the TOC.

The method I do it's use a software referred to as "Sonic Digital Media Plus" and make a knowledge disc. There are a ton of alternative techniques that do the equal factor. I even have made a snapshot disc by way of similar to commencing the my pc factor of it (did that make experience lol) and copying and pasting the documents in there. I feel making use of a software to make a knowledge cd is the simplest method. Good success : )
