I became a christian because of them. Then, my son got raped by a priest. I beat up some gay guys. I gave all my money to a church that then went out and got drugs and strippers. Oh, and I bombed an abortion clinic, because killing people is so much more holy than trying to prove my point legally.

Oh ye of little faith...everyone needs something to believe in. Why not a god? Why not yourself? Why not a puppy if that is what you feel is the most important thing in the world? What ever love is to you - real love that you feel down to the core of your being - why not convert for it? If I asked you to believe in love, would you? I believe you would. Now picture the closest thing to what you think of when you think of love. To some it is a god. To others it is total peace within nature. To yet others it is a place deep within themselves that allows them to be at peace and feel loved. Are any of these wrong?
I was sarcastic before coffee this morning but now my sarcasm has diminished and has been replaced with truth, love and heart brake. In the end, love will endure - geez, I hope it will anyway. ;-)
Hey, I like invitations. Even if I don't plan on attending, it is still nice to be asked. I think it makes a person feel loved and wanted. I like feeling that way.
BTW - I really can't give you a label for my beliefs right now. I don't know what I am. I know that I believe in love. I will always believe in love.

You mean all the threats of hell and eternal damnation really aren't getting you to convert? And all those bible quotes aren't moving you at all?!
I can't believe it! You would think with all their effort and work to teach us out of a book we don't believe to be sacred would at least have some effect.
Oh well, I'm sure they'll get someone. I mean we've had a couple convert to Islam on here - Christianity is certainly due.

I am agonostic so you know we have a history of being wishy washy...hell I cant even figure out if I want to go pee or not right now...so this whole Christian thing really has me perplexed.
Anyway but hell yeah I am almost convinced through some of the responses I got from my questions (truely genuine questions too) that I am nothing more than an f-ing idiot that knows nothin about the bible and I better hurry up and get my crap together so I can go to heaven and eat cherry pie with my beloved childhood pet Rags ( I really loved that dog!)

This is so true, both atheists and christians are trying to convert others whether it be through asking questions or what not, and really it doesn't make that big of a difference.

I'll do it due to the answers on here. They are forcing me to convert, so which religion should I take up first. I say first because we all know after a couple of weeks I will find a huge hole in that religion , there being no God etc, and have to convert to another. But hey its something to do whilst we wait for the second, third, fourth ,oh whichever one its up to now, coming of the Lord, our saviour praise his name. What is he doing watching star trek again ??
Oh wait ive just destroyed my will to convert you are on your own I'm afraid.

Well, I've always considered myself agnostic. But after reading some of the Christian posts on YA I think I would like to officially convert to atheism.

I love the 2 pg long soap boxes. In fact I come on here each day and hope that there will be several I can read. And maybe one day one of them will hope to clone me. And perhaps if I'm really lucky...I'll get a question asking to be "prayed for"...
I mean this one especially worked

By the 3rd pg I was healed!
I'm glad there is someone else who completely agrees with me. It's definitely worked on me too!

God is not the problem....it is his followers that are the problem. Only convert if your heart tells you to...do not do it because some "bible thumper" told you to.

Lots of people will read the answers on here, so it's a larger audience for Christians. The more people that here about God, the better. We aren't asking you to convert on a whim. We ask because we want you to be in Heaven with us and with God. We don't want you to go to Hell. We Christians care about how you spend your eternity.
