joseib i meant: people protesting that they dont want to have SSN because it's the mark of the beast.

That is silly every time a person is required to use a number of any kind at all they could say it is the mark of the beast. A number is just a number. The mark of the beast is just silly fantasy.

I am a Christian, no the SSN is not the mark of the beast.
The number is told in the Bible, 666. Probably it will have something to do with the name of the anti-christ on earth (Hebrew's use to play a game in which they would use the letters of their names that reflected numbers in the Hebrew numeric/alphabet system - Letters reflect certain numbers, visa-versa). Also it may have something to with the judgments and those occurring 6th (there are three sets of final judgments that have 7 parts each).
The mark of the beast may appear as said in the Bible to those who accept it as one of these new chips inserted into the body on the hand though. This is speculation, we do not know this for a fact.

Many people were very concerned when the SS# was first introduced..they were ignorant of scripture.
The "number"and "name", the "image", the "mark" ALL are required to identify who or what the beast is....it's simple deduction..if they have the number, they must also have the mark and image to be the "Beast"....many peoples names add up to 666; but that alone does NOT make them the "Beast"....they must fulfill ALL to be the "Beast"........
Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Rev 15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
The Vatican and associates fulfill these to the letter...
The Popes are false prophets and have titles that add up to 666.(Vicarius Filii Dei)....also Latienos (Latin man) makes 666...this was the teaching of the early true church...Lateinos.
The Beast is the False Religion of the Vatican (and it's head, the popes) and all that contribute to it. The second Beast also includes ecumenical (so called) protestants and all others that are strengthening the Lamb-like (Christ-like)Beast... ever heard the saying "that's just the nature of the beast" that's what the title of the "Beast means an organization/government.
The beast's MARK is the sign of the cross (must be made by right hand) and black carbon cross that Catholics receive during certain ceremonies. on the FOREHEAD... both of these reveal the beast's hidden mark of loyalty to or recognition of him as the head (albeit false) of Christ's Church.
The beast's image does not refer to a copy of his likeness or a picture/painting/statue of himself but to an image that he owns or is his creation. The Beast's image is the CROSS. Christ was not crucified on a "cross" and the symbol of the cross predates Christianity by hundreds of years as a PASGAN symbol. Christians are to have NO graven images.
Even for those that say it must be a likeness of himself...that would still qualify; because, many dead popes are worshipped/prayed to, not to mention the "virgin Mary"
During the (Vatican) first beast's 1260 year reign...all had to have the mark, name, image to buy sell and trade in Christendonm or face death and persecution.
BUT, even more is required for the Beast to be identified, he must fulfill the requirements of Daniel's "little horn" as well......again the Papacy fulfills these to a T.
The second beast is the Papacy again...and is NO coincidence that they now have "Vatican 2"....
"Vatican II" reaffirmed the Nicene creed and catechism (Catholic rites and sacraments)
Rev 13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

In Hebrew letters also carry a numeric value. That value is what is being referred to here.
I'll worry about it when I see it being instituted as a mark to identify people who can buy and sell etc.

Christians do not preach against the word of God, and the number 666 is the mark of the beast and the bible says it is the number of a man.

I actually havent heard anyone say anything about the SS number or credit cards...
I have heard people that are freaked out cuz they are doing the 'finger scan' at stores as credit or debit identifiers.... so I remind them Who it was that gave them 'that' particular mark.
Honestly, the 'mark' will be something that is actually on or in our bodies.... electronic or tatooed or whatever... not something attached to our names/etc.

I am not too caught in all this number stuff and the mark of the beast. I think I'll just keep focused on Jesus and trust that when tough comes, if they do, He will help us.

It is best not to read too much into the SSN. Christians don't protest often and they don't have anything against the SSN.

the key to the beasts mark says it will be everywhere in the world that no one may buy or sell unless they recieve it on the forehead or right hand.
but any world program needs a basic model to test and demonstrate the feasabilty of broader application.

believe it or not I have the number 666 in a row on my social security number I wish I could change it but my credit history is terrible and that will never happen
