In essence yet, unfortunately men are like beasts, eventually they will just eat whatever is around them. So be careful.

I think it is funny to read all of the answers from women...! I don't think a woman can really answer this question because you never know what is going on in someone else's head. The old saying is, "Men and women can't be friends" - and I think that is probably NOT true. However, who is to say whether or not there is attraction - there is a big difference between attraction and acting upon things.
I'm sure there are many women who are clueless about a male friend being attracted to them. Women who are content and happy in a relationship may not even pick up the vibe.

HERE IS THE TRUTH... Sally was right. There is always sexual tension between a man and a woman that are friends. The closer the friendship the more the tension. The real question is if the guy will make a move or take a cold shower. That is not to say that a guy and a girl cannot be friends...just know what is hiding in the back of his mind.

Yes, a man can hang out with a woman and be her friend without having sexual attraction towards her, but sometimes friendship grows into love. Also the woman may have or develop a sexual attraction toward the man. Yes, I believe platonic relationships are possible, but ther may be underlying thoughts or desires on either side.

a man can be just friends with a woman, but any straight man generally has sexual attraction towards most women. It's just that a lot of times, if the woman keeps the relationship strictly friendship, they won't act on it. I've had guy friends in the past who have admitted that they think i'm cute, or they would like to do stuff but it never got to that point, and we still had a comfort level where we could just chill and i could go to them for advice. So it's possible to just be friends, but its also possible that even friends have sexual attraction.

It may start out as JUST friends, but it will eventually revolve into something else especially if only one of them has an attraction toward the other one. Hanging out in a lounge usually means drinking and drinking leads to other things afterwards. So, NO they cannot be JUST friends for the majority of the time.

I would say No . Men and women who spend time together even staring out as friends end up with at least one having feelings for the other . Women get attached easier than men but it can also be the man and sex is always in the subconscious for at least one good luck

That's very rare. I would say if he's gay. And I'm not saying that to be mean. It's just that the idea will always be in the back of your mind that this could be more than a friend. Obviously I am right because you are questioning it now.

Yes! I have several guy friends that I do things with. There's no sexual attraction between us at all!
It can get to be uncomfortable with any new girlfriends that they get but half the time, I become friends with their girlfriends as well.
It's very normal to have "just friends" of the opposite sex.

When two of the opposite sex spend a lot of time together as friends there is the potential for "attraction" and the platonic relationship can change. Then it happens!
