Are we in America or Mexico?

I live in CO.I dont understand whats going on around me anymore.I mean I really cant UNDERSTAND!I go to the grocery store,doctor,mall,resturants and the majority of people speaking are speaking spanish.Everywhere I go there are signs,billboards,pamplets,magazines,radio stations,tv stations all in spanish!There are also mexican flags hanging everywhere!Im not sure Im in America anymore,but another Mexico.How did we let it get this far,how do we take it back?I dont feel comfortable in my own country.I dont feel comfortable surrounded by people I cant understand.Am I now the Alien?

Geez your popular. Its worse here in LA. I saw a lot of billboards for LAys lately. Not a single one was in English. THey were advertising the new oil they're using, I think. I went to Fry's and SOny had a promo. They were playing Mexican music and the advertisement was in SPanish. They weren't even in a hispanic neighborhood and they are a distant third in ethnic demographic of those who shop there. THe Primary customer there was Caucasian and the Asians.
If you remember the old Eddie murphy movie, I believe another 24 hours, It isn't a joke about press 15 if you speak Farsi.

I keep hearing Hispanics screaming learn Spanish. Well I have to say to them if you live in L.A., I expect you to learn Vietnamese, And Cantonese, And Mandarin, and German, And Russian, etc. Heck I am being forced to learn tagolog last year because I was the only non Philipino at my job. I might have to learn Armenian too, now.

The good thing about the illegal immigrants is that now I only need to know SPanish and English. I went to a japanese Supermarket, which less than half speaks English. Its the same now, but the Japanese are replace by Mexicans. I was fustrated though. The Mexican clerk was trying to communicate to the japanese customer, but they didn't understand each other. I had to "be the go between. Evidently Mexican broken English sounds totally different to Japanese Broken ENglish. I guess I'm use to foreign accents.

nation of the United States of America. We have been Invaded
by the population of another so called sovereign nation. Whose
major source for their GNP is money that we (as apathetic, divided and conquered) citizens of the USA let them steal and send back to Mexico. Check the voting records of some of the politicians running for president (Obama-Billary,Richardson,McCain) to see why we have this mess. Then look at the TV shows your children watch(Dora the Explorer comes to mind) and wonder why they call it television PROGRAMMING.

I thought Colorado just passed some of the toughest Illegal Immigration laws in the Country?

No Question they are Illegal Aliens that are putting up those flags and not learning English. How can we ever forget the "Great America Boycott" marches last year when the Illegal Aliens were marching in OUR streets with foreign flags demanding AMNESTY etc. Believe it or not they are having part 2 this year on May 1st. Incredible.

AMEN TO THAT SISTER!!!! I am hispanic (born in America) and I live in Dallas, Texas and it seems to me that more and more often we are surrounded by illegal immigrants who are coming to America and living off of the government or getting off without having to pay taxes like the rest of us common folk have to do because Pedro is actually Juan who has three different social security numbers. The other day I went to the grocery store to buy my husband a box of low sodium crackers and I looked (NO KIDDING) for about 10 minutes for the stupid box only to realize that the only reason why I couldn't find it is because the box was in Spanish. Just because I am hispanic doesn't mean it's my first language and nor does it mean that I speak it. My husband is an elevator mechanic and many times he has called me from work infuriated because some Mexican can't understand a lick of English and can't do what needs to be done. It's gotten to the point here where in the neighboring city that I live next to the residents are actually going to try to pass a proposal to make, GET THIS, English the official language AND not have any more pamphlets in Spanish AND not rent out apartments to people who are not legal residents or at least have a green card. It's ridiculous. These people protest because they want the same rights as Americans, yet they don't want to take the time to learn English, they can drive around town without a valid drivers license or proof of insurance, hit someone like my husband, drive off and not get arrested or have to pay for damages because there is absolutely no way to verify that the person is who they say they really are. They don't have to pay taxes, their kids can come and reap the benefits that they are not entitled too and raise cain if they son't get those priviledges and on top of that they don't file taxes and if they commit serious crimes such as murder they can skip town, cross the border and then swim back across. It's terrible. What is this country coming too. If Mexico was so wonderful then these people wouldn't be trying to get into America illegally. This isn't Mexico, quit trying to make it Mexico and quit having so many kids. Two will do just fine, you don't have to have like 5 kids. It makes me so mad.

Until we take drastic action, such as a national Identification card, this will only get much much worse. The most effective way to stem the tide is require everyone to have a national ID card. If you were born here you have a US Birth Certificate. If not you have your resident alien card or naturalization documents. This along with 3 forms of ID and a Social Security Card. will get you the ID. With out the ID you have no access to any social program ( SSI, medicaid, medicare, Section 8, Public Assistance, Welfare, Food stamps), No access to public schooling, no access to health care, and no right to representation when arrested. Zero tolerance.
As I see it this is the only way to ensure that immigration is done according to US law. and any whiny illegal immigrant who doesn't like it can just go the **** home.

Robbie asks why we are fighting assimilation with our new neighbors. They are the ones who refuse to assimilate. I believe that all official documents should be in English and that it be a requirement to stay here that you learn English.I will learn to speak Spanish when i retire to Honduras. The homeland of my wife and her family, who by the way are all legal immigrants.

You probably don't live in CO, you live in Colorado, the word is SPANISH. That's because it was part of Mexico and part of Spain before it was part of the United States.

SOOO, the Mexicans and Indians were fighting over Colorado before anyone from the US got there.

When I grew up in Philadelphia there were sections of the city where you had to speak German, other where you needed Italian. I lived in San Francisco where you needed to speak and read some Chinese.

If u want to take it back u and all ur ancestors should be the first ones to live the country since u were the first ones who came to this continent and took America and then part of Mexico. America may have taken Mexico's land but its only paper. As far as I know, CO should stay mexican and will be mexican bc it belongs to mexicans. Besides in case u havent noticed, Mexico is not the only country that speaks spanish, if u go to Miami u only see cuban flags and if u dont know spanish u cant eat.It sucks for u that only know how to speak one language.

I know what you're saying. It was their amnesty march downtown last year that got me paying attention to this madness. Ever listen to Peter Boyles on KHOW? I think he's suing the city of Denver for being a sanctuary city and not enforcing the laws. Things are getting crazy in Colorado.
