there are no magic foods. basically its- eat freaquently, every 2-3 hours and excercise - the more muscle the more energy body is burning.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)

I'm not sure if you actually can speed it up, but work out and get active, drink lots of water, and eat healthy foods.

I've heard that to speed up your metabolism... going swimming really helps. So if you're trying to lose weight.. swim, eat healthily and sleep well as well. There are no magical foods that can help you lose weight.

Drink lots of water and try to encorporate healthier foods into your diet (wallnuts, fruits, and veggies)

There's a vitamin supplement out there called chromium picolinate, it does work, but it's not a cure all. You can buy it at any store that sells vitamins.
