Almost every country has its patron saint who on God's bidding revealed God's will. Isn't it possible that the founder of the Mormon faith is akin to these patron saints. Surely the mormon faith shows that God acknowledges and loves America. Or are American's so insignificant that God would never dream of revealing its self to a lowly American?

I think the Mormons have a great thing!! So many people even answering your question have failed to realize what persecution the forefathers went through!!My family are Mormon and not me (un churched) and I know about the hostile attacks left many women as widows, with a wagon cattle several kids, so marriage was arranged as a business deal to keep the Mormon family alive in the new land. Not by Joe or Brigham Young either. But persecution will always be alive,we did it to Indians, blacks, Mexicans and any other un familiar ground .

peace: I understand how you feel about your Mormon faith. I know, that there are some well-meaning people, who try and make this world a better place to be. You undoubtedly, have been reared in the Mormon faith, with strong beliefs about America. In consideration of all this, I think you are very fine as a person, and really care about your family, friends and country. As a Christian myself, I think that you know God has supplied Christians with the knowledge necessary, for them to have a relationship with Him, through Jesus Christ. In stating this, I have to say, that God is concerned with the whole world having an equal opportunity for a relationship with Him - not just Christians, Americans or any solitary people. I think the Mormons have Christians people within, who do represent the zeal God has for us all. Good luck to you.

Well,if I'm to believe that God was once a man like me,who was exalted, and that he sits up in heaven having sex with the mother god producing souls and that Jesus and Lucifer are brothers who got in a fight (Lucifer lost),and the souls that stayed neutral in the war have to be born as Negros to teach them a lesson. And as man is God once was and as God is man can be.If I do all things right I can get my own planet to be God of ,then sure,I guess you're right.
Unfortunately ,this is one of the "Other Gospels" Paul warns us about in Galatians 1."If we or an Angel from heaven bring you any other Gospel than the one we have taught you let him be accursed".
Well,an Angel named Moroni brought a different Gospel as did Jibril (Gabriel supposedly) to Mohammed.
I let the Bible speak for itself.
God loves America ,I believe He really blessed this land.Without Joseph Smith's help and many years before J.S. lived.
I'm not being rude just truthful.

No, I'm not proud of the Mormons. It's a false religion God didn't reveal anything. How convenient that the place where the golden plates were buried wasn't far from Joseph Smith's house. When I think of the Mormons and Joseph Smith I think, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb.

"Isn't it possible that the founder of the Mormon faith is akin to these patron saints." - Or maybe Joseph Smith, Jr. was just a polygamous plagerizer. (It has been proven that Joseph Smith, Jr. based his Book of Mormon on an unpublished novel)

YEP! I am so proud to be me,

“This is just my opinion and remember I am just one person and speak only for myself as one person and not a Sect..”

I pulled this from something posted earlier....

Matthew 7:1- “Don’t criticize. And then you won’t be criticized. 2-For others will treat you as you treat them. 3-And why worry about a speck in the eye of a brother when you have a board in your own? 4-Should you say `Friend, let me help you get that speck out of your eye,’ when you can’t even see because of the board in your own? 5-Hypocrite! First get rid of the board. Then you can see to help your brother.”

We don't believe in patron saints ilke the Catholics do.

We thnk that the reason He revealed it to an American is because of freedom of religion.

Many of these answers represent the sad state of the world today, that there is a general lack of respect for those who are different. So many people are misguided, disingenuous and full of bigotry. It's unfortunate.

Me thinks you're Mormon and not an American. God is not amused at Mormons as they are a false doctrine. I pity those who are LDS, as they are being fooled by lies, and as we know Satan is the father of all lies, just like that Smith fellow.
