God hold everyone responsible for their choice once they reach the age of accountability. If there is true illness that would make you not be able to think as a rationale adult, hence thinking as a child, your personal accountability would be that of a child still. Those who already KNOW what they are doing is wrong have enough rationale to know this, so they can make a choice as adults, hence, they KNOW.
Having said that, everyone has bad days, Thomas (one of the disciples) doubted Jesus and wanted proof of his Resurrection, Jesus provided it. Jesus did let him know that those who believed on faith without proof were more blessed, but Jesus still loved him. God is a forgiving, merciful God full of Grace and compassion towards the creation he made and loves. He will always forgive if you are really sorry. God does KNOW YOUR HEART, even when you are sick, he knows what is really in you.

No one KNOWS for sure if God exists (although there is a lot of evidence to indicate His existence). In the end it all boils down to faith. Either you believe or (by default) you don't believe. Only God knows who goes to hell and who doesn't but I'd think that not believing in Him would not earn you His love and compassion. He's there for you beckoning your soul to come toward Him. It's your choice what to do at this point. It's not a matter of forgiving. Every moment of your existence is "the second, third, fourth, hundreth, millionth, billionth" chance he Has given you to come to Him.
He gave you a brain and all the resources you need to reach Him. Just follow the straight path of righteousness and you'll arrive to your destination. Peace and good luck! :)

Don't worry, at death God will come for you and then you can decided if you want to believe in him or not. Your mental illness will be not play a role. God understands mental illness and always forgives people who are truly sorry and want His forgiveness.

Don't believe what catholics or muslims say about going to hell.
The truth is that EVERYONE who has not heard of Jesus will be given a chance (the FIRST chance too) to hear the truth ofJeusus after they are resurrected.
If you REJECT Jesus at that time you face the 2nd death (the fearful one) of which there is no resurrection.
You will be gone FOREVER, never to exist again. Truly, there will be "weeping and gnashing of teeth".
"And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Mental illness? Depends. If you were once in a state of mental nondisability, then you have already been shown there is a God. You do not go to Hell because you do not believe in God, you simply go to Hell because you do not WANT to believe there is a God (thus, denying His Son and His sacrifice given on your behalf). Hope that helps. www.gotquestions.org

I suspect you've got it backwards. Asking questions is not a sign of mental illness, quite the contrary.
You won't go to hell. There is no hell. There is no god.
I hope that helps.

Bless you dear one. To answer your question,NO,God will not judge someone to hell, that is truly mentally impaired. In fact,He won't judge anyone to death eternal, untill they have full knowledge of Him,and still reject Him. That wouldn't be fair, and God cannot be unfair. For He is no respecter of persons ,like people are. Bless you for trying,it has to be hard with mental illness.

You know enough about him to ask this question.
Take your Medications and keep yourself well. There are therapists that you can talk to. If you are bipolar your therapist can keep you motivated into taking your medications.Yes God will forgive you but you will have to ask. You can ask that he keeps you strong enough to remember to continue to take your medications. This is a chemical imbalance in your brain and it is a psychical illness in that sense. Take the Meds sweety I cannot stress that enough.

God knows your true heart.
So, Biblically, and assuming that the God you believe in is Jesus Christ, you will get to heaven, regardless of your mental state.

If when you are well you believe in god, and when you are sick you don't believe in god, I think that the god you believe in will understand. If you believe in the idea of heaven and hell, I do believe that being sick goes beyond any issues of being sick and you don't have to worry, you will go to heaven.
