It hurts in the joints of my left shoulder all the time.

I have small children and often pick them up so was wondering if that could be one of the factors.

When I lift my arm over my head sometimes it "pops" when I bring it back down and that is when it REALLY hurts. I have to take advil and tylenol a lot for it and it has been waking me up at night.

I plan on going to the doc but was wondering what it might be.

If you're young enuf to have small children, and the pain is waking you up at night, you need to see the dr. You're young to have arthritis, but it's possible. Also could be bursitis, tendonitis, rotator cuff injury, any number of things. Make an appt. with your dr.

Exactly what it's sincere and in advance. I have a addiction of snoozing with my arm tucked beneath my pillow and sure the shoulder hurts normally while I stand up, only a reality of aging together with different aches and pains, whats up the frame does put on out, believe me I recognise. Accept that reality and transfer on

I'm sorry to hear u hurt that way, i've hurt in both my shoulders since age 14, i have gone to doc's, xrays were takin, first i heard it was carpal tunnel, that was after it traveled down my arms, then bursitis and i know the rotary cuff could be injured too in ur case, i live on advil, it keeps me up, i cry and now doc's said it was fybromylgia (sp?) if urs is worse like on rainy days like mine is, could be arthritis, you may need blood test done. take care

You could have injured your rotary cuff lifting your kids.

You may also have Impingement Syndrome.

Check Web MD, and enter you're symptoms! Good luck!
