Personally, my first, or best choice answers are decided based on the question I asked and the answers to that particular question. If I ask why a different faith than my own believes a certain thing, then I decide by who ever answers the question for what it is. It doesn't mean I agree, but if the answers is intelligent and without insult and informative, I will select it. By second way of deciding, if there is no suitable answer, is one that humbly reflects my belief. I look for an answer to what I asked first though.

I try to vote for the answers that give the most thorough answer without giving false information...

Example: I would NEVER vote for an answer that said that all Christians despise science.. because it is not true...

I MIGHT vote for an answer that said there were Christian fanatics doing something strange.

Which answer is the "Best Answer" is very subjective. I have occasionally awarded "Best Answer" to someone who, while disagreeing with me, gave a good answer.

There have also been times when I was awarded a "Best Answer" when I think that my answer fairly sucked.

Go figure.

It's messed up isn't it? Biased choices. That's why I tend to leave my answers at vote.
