Some call it enlightenment and some call it a double standard. I think it's in the double standard category.
They'll say and do anything to justify their cause.

The theory of evolution is just that - a theory. If you want to limit your argument to a theory of the existence of God, I can accept that, too. An evolution scientist would never say that evolution exists and therefore God does not. It's this ridiculous notion advanced by some religious folks that God exists and that therefore evolution does not, is what thinking people find so galling. It's not all religious people, just the Bible thumpers. The vast majority of people on Earth can accept the possibility that both might exist.

Honest Answer:
There is some evidence available to support the Theory of Evolution but, as none of us were around at important stages in this development, we have no first-hand accounts. This is why it is a theory. We are still getting fresh evidence and, at some time, all the pieces will fall into place.
Surely, anyone with a functioning brain can accept that.
There is NO evidence that god exists.
All the evidence that we have, ignoring the bible as any real evidence, as it was written by a variety of archaic and already deluded men several hundred years after the claimed dates, suggests that this current god is just as man-made as all the gods that preceded it. Nothing exists to suggest otherwise. In fact, all the logic and reason and common-sense that the human race can gather together suggests very strongly that religion is totally fake, that its devotees are merely taken in by a huge confidence trick and that the self-same gullible people are being taken on a further 'ride' by such people as TV evangelists, who are merely 'using' this frailty in the human psyche to make a fortune for themselves.
Why can't modern humans see through this web of deceit?
BECAUSE they so badly WANT to believe it that they have convinced themselves and their offspring that it IS true. Merely wanting something to be true badly enough will not make it true.
How difficult is that to grasp?

Why would a rational person need proof to dismiss a fairy tale?
There are stacks and stacks of proofs for Evolution. You just refuse to accept them.
We are so far removed from abiogenesis that its hard to find any direct evidence. We've made some intersting inferences based on our knowledge of biochemistry, though. Scientists aren't satisfied with your answer of "god did it". They will keep searching until something better CAN be found.
Proof of god, is another matter. There is ZERO evidence for the existence of any Supreme Being, let alone your beloved Jehova.
Do you go around demanding proof of invisible pink unicorns? Of course not, you dismiss their existence out of hand. Your god is no less a fairy tale.

Because first of all, there's an astronomical amount of evidence already supporting evolution. Second, they've found all that evidence in only about 100 years time. If they have the amount of evidence they have in such a short time, just imagine what they'll know in another 100 years!
The old Testament has been around for HOW many thousands of years(?), and the New Testament has been around for over 2000 years, and there's NO evidence found in all that time to prove that any of it is anything more than a complete myth.

what do evolution and abiogenesis have to do with one another? Seems to me that the latter would be a theory held by the bible thumpes, not the scientists, As to theproof of god, there is NO proof what so ever but there IS proof thatevolution happened and is still happening.nd to the fool who said a newborn child was the proof of god, WRONG! that is the proof of sex, and evolution.

I think that non-creationists think that we creationists know all about how the world was created.. when we don't.. we know what the Bible says (and so do they).. but we don't know all of the "hows and whys" of the actions taken.. and then there is the thing about a day in the life of God is as a thousand years...
We WILL know after the judgement.

It has to do with what people WANT. Evolutionist do not want to acknowledge even that a creator MIGHT exist. So what they don't know about evolution, they continue diligently searching for. However, they don't deem worthy of a sincere, open minded search what they don't know about God or creation.
The wicked one according to his superciliousness makes no search; All his ideas are: “There is no God.” Psalms10:4 NWT

Proof is only found in mathematics. In the real world we deal with evidence. We have tons of evidence for evolution. None for gods.

How about your own significance? With out GOD you are just a combination of chemicals - but oops there is that little thing of self awareness that science just can't explain.
