Maybe this sounds childish, but I actually like the cartoon hotdog standing on its legs, one crossed over the other, and its shining eyes and bright smile. I also very much enjoy any "hot dog" where "hot dog" is any dog that perks up my day with cute looks (e.g. sunglasses, etc).
I know this doesn't really answer your question but I can't answer it the way I think you meant because I don't eat hot dogs. Sorry but I hope I amused you.

There is only ONE hot dog, a Chicago hot dog.
Vienna Pure Beef Hot Dogs
with a poppy seed bun,
served with mustard, relish, onion, pickle, tomato, and celery salt.
the bun has to be steamed.
mmmmm, there's nothing like it.
wish there were some good ones here in cent Florida.
ps. no normal person puts ketchup on a hot dog

All beef, chopped onion, pickle relish, sports pepper, dill pickle spear, tomato wedge on a sesame bun with yellow mustard. The Best.

for toppings I like mine with ketchup and mustard, onions and relish, chilli and cheese, wrap in bacon with avocado on top.

My favorite hot dog has to have ketchup, mustard, mayo, tomatos, and shredded onions. But i love it better when its grilled.
