Why can't you use pointed pellets in a semi auto pellet gun? Can you use hallow point or ultra magnum pellets in a semi auto?

If you look at a pellet it is coned inside. Allowing the air to cup the pellet pushing it out the barrel. If using a pointed or rounded pellet in a semi auto pistol they will fit inside of each other. This is only the case of pellet guns that fit one behind the other. You can use any pellet in a gun that uses cylinders or even BBs. Hope this helps.

Some pellet guns will acept the pointed pellets anyway....some will not. The reason for it not being recomended is usually because of the fact that with the pointed pellets the gun is capable of 500FPS or more...this would make the pelet gun under the eyes of the law to be a firearm. so it is not rcomended.

Well maybe you should call your semi-auto pellet gun company and ask them or better yet consult to your manual!
