You don't have to paint it all one color- paint three of the walls a lighter color and one wall darker, and it makes the room look longer. I general, darker colors make the room feel smaller, and brighter ones make it feel bigger. The actual color you have to decided. It depends on what you want out of the room.

Okay, this depends on what your room is like. If your room is high tech, and filled with gizmos and gadgets, go with periwinkle. Sounds weird? Well, it works. If you're room is "girly" obviously go with hot pink and magenta. NO DUH!!
If your room is sportsy and macho, go with flaming red and bright yellow and orange. If your room falls right in between, I'd suggest kelly green and aqua blue/ yellow and light red.
Hope this helps!!

Whatever matches your bedspread. But you may want to choose a light color to keep your room bright for when you need to wake up and stay awake, then just get dark curtains for those days where you can sleep in.

i like yellow, actually. Maybe you could just freshen it up with a new coat of yellow paint of a slightly different shade. I'd suggest either a bright lemon yellow (like SpongeBob yellow) or a deep harvest gold.

Depends if you like strips or not maybe just make it your favorite color. If that does not work use contrasts.
