There is more solid historical proof of the existence of Mohammed than of JC, but mainly because he lived on to prominence after founding his religion, where JC 'ascended' into Heaven, leaving men to build His.
As M reached 'fame' while still alive, there were contemporary writings mentioning him from his enemies as well as his friends.
Jesus had been an obscure Rabbi in a small Roman Province, who was not 'famous' till after one event. By the time people outside the Church started referring to Him, it was in terms of "hearsay" based on what the Christians said.
But, there is not enough reason to deny there was an historical Jesus, even if you do not accept Him as Lord and Saviour. It was popular to deny He ever existed, at one point, but there is at least as much 'evidence' as for Julius Caesar or Archimedes or Homer, and nobody denies their reality!

The physical and material things are emphasized in this world since we are all, subjugated, thereof.
The historical record does support both, Jesus Christ and Mohamed, as once, physically existed personalities.
The problem is this. How does one accept the reality of the spiritual when he or she is physical. Once a person is spirit in composition the material becomes irrelevant - unless one is God and exercises love towards the physical [people] . Then, another dichotomy presents it self. By what process or means do you implement the reality of that love into the physical minds of those same, material-centered people ? Jesus Christ ( God in the flesh - material) died to demonstrate that very love to His Creation, and was resurrected to life again, and now, resides at the right hand of the Father to make intercession for us. Mohamed, who once existed, is now, dead !
P.S. "Rick S" - Jesus Christ did influence the B.C. / A.D. change in history. He was born about 4 B.C. (since you can not have a zero B.C. ) . In addition to both, Roman historians and the early church fathers recording His existence - Jesus was a definite reality which Satan has time and time again, attempted to erect barriers of prejudice against the reality of any truth.

genuine historians do not doubt the two's existence. human beings continually ignore that Jesus wasn't only written approximately interior the Gospels. Josephus and Tacitus additionally make point out of him. And Muhammad had a team of followers who wrote his biography and stored a record of his sayings after his death.

His only worry is the Lord Jesus Christ.

So what is your question? Mohamed didn't die for our sins, and Jesus did. Time changed from BC to AD when Jesus died, nothing happened when Mohamed died, if he even was real.

Jesus split time into B.C and A.D., because Jesus Christ is the most influential historical figure to ever walk the earth.
