funny you should ask this question today..i have consulted a bariatric doctor about the same thing, know what he told me? he asked what my favorite chocolet is..Kit Kat candy bars is my sin, he told me to buy a stast of kit kats, and for 48 hours, eat nothing but the candy bars, no other foods, guess what? i never want to see another kit kat candy bar ever again..so what ever is your passion, try it for 2 days, and you will be sick of it too..this works for other vices too, smoking for instance, sit down and smoke 2 whole packs one right after the other, trust me, you will be sick of them..excessive anything will turn you against it..good luck..judy

giving somthing up for 3 week helps u to stop having strong cravings for that food..... i no ur thinking "how can i give up chocolate for 3 WEEKS!!". well the only thing i can tell u is cravings only last 12-14 minutes.... so set an alarm for 15 minutes everytime u get a craving and if u still feel like u need it (which u wont) u can have it =)

Try eating the dark cacao chocolate that tastes very bitter if you eat a lot of it at time. If you keep that around you won't be able to eat much more than a little bite at a time yet it will be good for your heart.

forming a habit takes 21 straight days, if you can go 21 straight days without any chocolate, your cravings will lighten and when you eat chocolate you won't eat as much.

Why would you want to stop? If you're on a diet just eat less. Buy less and hide what you have. Maybe eat three Hershey's Kisses a day and no more.

Stop eating it, and start getting into healthier foods. You'll eventually forget about it and aquire a taste for the healthy food as well.

You can't because of something to do with receptors in the brain. I'm an addict!
ps - Judy C (above me) is wrong. That doesn't work with everything. For example - alcohol!

Eat so much of it, that it makes you sicker than a dog.
Then you might not like to so much.
Or... try getting your taste buds into something else.
