I was carried there on stretcher by an ambulance because somebody called ambulance. I would never have gone there on my own. No way. They kept poking me with needles and I moved my arm and they were like we got to poke you again.

I am only taking legal prescription drugs. I ran out of the pills I was supposed to be taking every day because I swallowed them all in a couple of days, so I have no pills left to swallow.

Lying to doctors, parents, friends, OR yourself isn't going to get you anywhere. Your doctor is someone who is not emotionally attached to you, so whatever you tell him/her isn't going to impact them one way or another. Was your overdose intentional? If it was, then lying to a doctor isn't going to get you anywhere except back in the trouble you started out with.
I'm sure you also know that drinking while on some prescription drugs isn't a very good idea. Alcohol can make these drugs not work at all in your system, while with others it can make the side effects ten times worse! It sounds like you should be talking to someone who you can be totally honest with, eh?
Sit down and really think about what it is you want in life, then go from there. Life isn't really too bad when you give it a chance. You will get what you put into it, drugs or no drugs..booze or no booze.
Take care..

What good is going to the doctor do if you're going to lie to him? If you'd told him about the pills you were taking, he may have been able to give you a safer substitute until you are weaned off.

I didn't think that there was anyone left on this earth that thought mixing booze and pills could not cause an OD (and even death, in some cases). The two, combined, can cause you to go to sleep and just never wake up again--in some instances.

It is NEVER, I REPEAT NEVER, okay to lie to your doctor. If he prescribes you medication it can cause harm to you. And if you are taking prescription drugs that aren't yours you could also being doing serious damage to yourself.
It is NEVER okay to OD on any drugs, if you are having problems dealing with stuff in your life right now, maybe consider talking to someone, a friend or family member or there is even hotlines that are anonymous that you can call to just talk to somene about stuff that is bothering you. Drugs of any kind are NOT the answer. And depending on how old you are your doctor has an agreement that he is held to that he cannot repeat what you tell him. It's called confidentiality, so be honest with your doctor he only is there to help you.

no i do not think you should be lieing to the doctor again. And cause you know some people that do that, and nothing happens to them, does not mean you need to do it too. Everyone is different, and they react to medication, and drinking in different ways, and it sounds like you are lucky that someone found you and called them. So come straight, and get some help, and quit doing things just cause you know others that do it.

It is never ok to lie to the doctor. Also you should never take script drugs and drink and drive too. If you cannot control your drinking and drugs get help before something bad happens. If you get in an accident and hurt or kill someone you will be held liable and wind up in prison.

Why would you go to the doctor if you were going to lie? It's just dumb.
Do you want help, or don't you?
And if you don't --- then keep on drinking and doing drugs and it'll sort itself out in the long run.
You're certainly not hurting the doctor by lying.

No it is not alright. You need to be honest with your doctor. He/she only has your best interest at heart.

What if he prescribed na medication for you that would cause a bad reactioj with the drugs and alcohol you consume!

You are in denial and lying is your catalyst. The next time you are admitted (if you live thru it) I'm sure they will check for everything!

Um, that is a super bad idea to lie to your doctor.

Your doctor isn't a cop. He's not out to hurt you. He's there to help you, and he won't tell anyone what you tell him.

Be honest with him. It's your health.
