I had a colonoscopy yesterday, my stools are bloody. And some blood is coming out. Is this normal? I am a young female, and they took multiple biopsys.

I also had a polyp removed (I believe that is what it is called) as well as some abdominal pain, and tenderness.

A certain amount of blood is certainly reasonable, but it should not be excessive... just remember a small amount of blood in a toilet full of water can look like a whole lot :)
If you continue to bleed call the doctor who performed the exam

I had a colonoscopy recently, and they took a lot of biopsies. I bled some for 3 days after. It was all perfectly normal unless you are bleeding a lot.

Some blood is normal, but not in large amounts over a long period of time. If the bleeding lasts more than 3 or 4 days, or is heavy, call your dr.

Because they took some biopsy's there may be some blood in your stool, if it continues and you feel uncertain call your GI doctor or go see him again.

It is normal ONLY because they took biopsies. Read your discharge handout to find out what it says. If you feel more blood then normal is coming out call ER and talk to them about it,.

If they took a lot of biopsies i would say this is normal but if you continue to bleed you should contact your physician immediately.
