Noone has proven without a doubt that anything in the Bible or Koran actually happened so what's all the fuss over? And "having Faith" isn't good enough an answer.

Yes, perhaps the question is a tad too general. However I'm not talking about anyone else doing these things just the religious. And don't get all defensive over a simple question. If you think you're answer is write just type it, don't preach to me. From the answers I've gotten already the "faithful" seem to have the most hurtful answers, why is that, I wonder? My question is to encourage debate nothing more.

Religion is usually only one factor in hate. People who hate have other major problems, like poverty, lack of freedom, or lack of status. Islamic terrorists aren't simply religiously fanatical. Most of them are poor, live in countries with almost no freedom, and have no hope. The usual thought process is "I have nothing to live for, so I'll find something to die for." The recruiting process is done by someone who does have something to live for, such as an influential cleric, but also has an agenda, such as a drive for power, a disgust for another culture, or some other intolerance. These more privileged people compel those who are under their influence, either through their ignorance or desperation, and recruit them to harm others. And the so-called "rednecks" that believe in Christianity aren't dumb because they're Christian. They're dumb and hateful because they're poor, isolated and uneducated. There's always something besides religion behind hatred.

Ya know, I was going to take the time to look up all the things you haven't, but I think I'll take Same T's advice instead. You obviously haven't done any research before posting this question. In order to debate, you need some type of credible or justified hypothesis to make it worth while.

Come on, people. Help lift the IQ level in here by posting something that literally challenges the mind . . . lets start posting questions that express our intelligence instead ignorance.

As long as it's not something that is more difficult than an IQ level of 99 can handle, which Christians were stated as having by someone earlier. (Where the eye roll smiley?)

To say all religious people are murderers, etc. is a completely illogical statement. You're right - faith is believing without fact (searching for answers....?)

SOMEONE or SOMETHING had to have created EVERYTHING. Having faith means that you have no factual answers.. What you should ask yourself is, "Hey, where did everything come from?" I'm not trying to convince you, you tell me where you think it all came from or where it all began.

People do bad things for all kinds of reasons: politics, religion, nationalism --> POWER. Jesus never forced anyone to do anything, like follow or believe in him - and he STILL treated them with dignity and love.

People of faith shouldn't be painted 'with a broad brush..'

I believe in a creator/ higher power, but I don't want to kill anyone or hurt anyone. We're all searching for the truth. Everybody isn't "bad" or "evil" - - - take police officers for example.. Just because some police officers with a power trip have gone overboard a few times, do you think we should ban all police officers? NO - There would be no civilization.

I do believe that scientists have proven that the Red Sea actually did part, and historians have proven that Christ was crucified on a tree (prophecy fulfilled) and rose from the grave. If he didn't, why can't anyone produce His bones now or then?

Keep in mind that the disciples didn't stand with Him when He was accused to provide witness of the accounts that were claimed, so why would they go out of their way to still His body?

I think it would be impossible to prove or disprove if EVERYTHING in these text are accurate or not. Jesus's existence was mentioned by the Roman Emperor Claudius, as recorder by Historian Robert Graves, identified by the timing and details but not called by the name Jesus Christ. There is some proof for the exodus having been an historical event.

The religious right and left wingers seem
to think
they can be God and act like God or Jesus

The very strict religious movement are control
freaks
They treat the human race as robots we are their
robots on a string
They worry about gay marriage and make it their
business not to have
same sex couples get married and so forth
What we do in our homes is their business and they
watch us as we go to the bathroom

And what we eat and drink they try and control this

'Religious' is a very different concept from true Christians or even true Muslims.
Those who believe in God do not seek anger or hatred. I am not suprised you do not respect faith. If you don't experience faith you could never understand its true power. And while you may not understand our proof, that takes nothing from us. I hope that you come to a real understanding of what we believe.

Why do the the non-religious hate, kill, and believe they can do no wrong? Do you think the clearly non-religious drug dealer or serial killer going on a shooting spree is a pacifist? Do they have respect for human life?

If you are going to fight, I think its better to fight for belief in a higher power over a gram of crack rock or who's sleeping with your "baby's moma".

Unfortunately, "faith" is enough for some people. When it isn't, civilization will have made a monumental evolutionary step.

No matter what, we shouldn't hate, kill or believe we can't do wrong whether we're religious or not....we need to help one another through this thing called life.

Peace, Love and Blessings,
