Ive had a cold for 3 days and now my ears won't unpop! I tried pugging my nose and blowing. I also tried deconjestents. None of them worked. I have a class to go to tomarrow and I cant hear much out of my right ear. Is there anything else I can do?

Your cold has caused inflammation of the Eustacian Tube to your middle ear. If swallowing won't open the tube, all you can do is wait it out...sorry...cause it's a cold, even antibiotics won't work (they only work on bacteria, not virus's) sorry.

Good advice so far. I had a similar experience but it wasn't from a cold...it was from getting off of an airplane. I actually took some allegra (recommended by my sister) even though I had no symptoms to take it for and my ears unpopped. I hope your ears unpop.

This kind of happened to me awhile back. I used ear plugs some nights, and one night I used a different brand. The next morning and for at least a week later my ears were so uncomfortable like they wouldn't pop. I tried everything. I even tried some peroxide. (take a little bit maybe a capful, turn your head to the side and dump it in, have a towel since it will come right back out. What ever stays in let fizz for a few mins, then turn your head the other way to dump it back out.) That may or may not work for you. For me I had to just wait. It was so annoying. At least it got better, since I started to get so worried that it was permanent!
Good luck.

To "pop" your ears, 1st extend your lower jaw as far out as possible, then suck air in (yawn).

The method of plugging your nose and blowing is the exact opposite direction you want to make the pressure go. You are likely, actually forcing any clog further toward your ear.

You need to pop your ears. Continue trying what you have and make yourself yawn. If it isn't resolved within a day or so, you should call an ear doctor immediately.

Press your hand against the blocked ear in a suction motion similar to using a plunger to unblock a drain etc.

It sounds like you have an ear infection. I've had more of them than I can count. You need an antibiotic, so go see your doctor (preferably an ear, nose, and throat doctor).

Take a drive in your car or walk up a mountain or tall hill. The higher elevation will pop your ears.
