I can understand what they do when they have an audience, they let them taste it. What do they do when it's only the chef, camera guy, and producers??? Thanks!

In college, I worked with a local PBS station (out of Penn State University). I did all sorts of "gopher" jobs, and for a while I worked on the set of a small cooking show.
There are more than just the chef, camera guy, etc. running around the place. There are other production people...even for a Mom & Pop show like ours, there might have been 12 or 15 people there at any given time. Plus, the studio is located in a larger broadcasting building, with maybe 250 people working in it.
We never had any problems getting rid of food. Although, some of the dishes used for money shots (close-ups of beautiful-looking food) were actually inedible. They might contain uncooked or undercooked meats, for example, to give the dish more color. Those got thrown out!

well, in some cooking shows the cook is cooking for his/her friends. Otherwise they probably give it to the camera guy and or producers.

Some feed the staff but many supply shelters with the edible products.

They give the food to the staff and production crew to eat.

Well, a chef like Rachel Ray makes ten more and then eats them all in one single gulp. Other than that I guess they split it up and everyone tries it, or I guess, maybe, they auction it off for charity. Unlikely.

They probably share it around after the show, or during commercial breaks.

eat them, give them to staff, feed the garbage disposal probably...I feel bad if they do think about the starving kids in countries...

I think the camera guy and the other people eat it. Maybe sometimes they take it home.

They probably stuff their face like pigs eating the food after a long day of filming... Thats what i would do.. :) jk
