...then why not come to church and find out for yourself? There are friendly Christian congregations almost everywhere!

Church is not about judging people; it’s about worshipping God and learning to love one another. We all sin, so no one is "better" than anyone else. But by God's amazing love, proven in Jesus' death and resurrection for our sake, anyone can be forgiven, cleansed, and healed.

A church fellowship is also about building strong communities, connecting with neighbors, and making new friends. In addition to regular Saturday or Sunday worship and children's programs, most churches offer extra worship services, Bible-study groups, community service, volunteer opportunities, outreach programs, coffee-and-chat groups, and other activities throughout the week.

Think church isn't for you? Remember, to gain the real treasures--peace, joy, freedom, happiness, fulfillment, and eternal life--we must go where they can be found, and seek them diligently and persistently.

So, my QUESTION is:
Won't you join us in worship this week, and learn the truth for yourself? We’ll be delighted to see you, of course, but most importantly, you’ll be pleasing Someone who already knows and loves you!

I tried. Read:
When I came here I had, about 6 months earlier, come to my senses and went running (figuratively) out of an Assembly of God church. Don't get me wrong, I knew before I ever walked in those doors that there would be fanatics there that I would disagree with. I thought that I could overlook that and just worship God. I was there to help out an elderly lady that had been good to me. It worked for a while. The final straw was the pastor lying from the pulpit that homosexuality is a choice and an abomination. That was the last straw. I thought of the real damage he could do to a young person who went to him for help because he was gay. I considered myself a liberal Christian at the time.

I now denounce Christianity and all the hate and bigotry in front of God every chance I get.

I think you have a sweet spirit. I already attend church and I support your enthusiasm. Try not to be discouraged by those who answer with negative feelings. God bless.

Swamp, I know you may not believe me, but God would never turn you away. Nothing you could ever do or think would stop Him from wanting a relationship with you.

I know the truth about Christianity. And one of the truths is that the "church" is the people not the building with people in it. However, we are to gather together so I support your plea. God bless.

After nearly 60 years of study of religions, I have found no compelling reason to attend any organized religion, especially the Christian and Islamic varieties.

Like anyone selling a product you have full faith in yours. However, you must understand that some consumers don't accept your words without study. The knowledge of free thinking humans is the largest problem the organized religions have.

Your intentions seem good. As Christians in this international forum i think it is important that we also speak out against the people who twist the Gospel message of Christ into a justification for hatred. Peace be with you.

After you attend a service at a Buddhist temple, a Jewish synagogue, a Muslim mosque, and a Hindu ceremony, I'll then go to your church. And since you won't make that effort, I'll plan on sleeping in on Sundays for the rest of my life.

You dont have to go to a church to pray to jesus or to god as long as you pray where there is two or more then god will be there.

I already know the truth and didn't need to be lied to in church. Religions and their silly god suppositions are nothing more than brain candy fro the reality challenged mindless naives of this world.
