The Bible accounts for about 5 years of the great Jesus' life. He was 33 when they nailed him. That leaves 27 years missing. Was he spending time traveling to the mystery schools along the Nile learning to be A CHRIST. Not THE ONLY CHRIST? What do you think?
Please entertain this question, I mean come on if you got a biblyography of George Washington with 85% of the pages missing wouldn't you feel a little manipulated?

The five years are not consecutive of course. They are the little bits added together.

Ignorance is bliss. You assume I am uneducated and this is not true. I have read many religious books cover to cover. I don't need your quoted regurgetated scripture. I already know it. I got straight A's in bible class. I pissed the teacher off asking questions she had no answer for. It appears the religious ones have no answers. Riding his donkey is the best answer so far.

Jesus was age 35 in the year 33.
At age 12 he was in the temple to study and see how older and supposed the smarter men did study and learn. He had been age 2 when he was taken
into Egypt, but at age 12 he was in the temple and at age 30 at baptism.
I am sure to age 17 he continued with this study and reading and the yearly trip with his family to keep the passover, then he is old enough to have responsiblity toward his father, mother and family and self for the next 13 years, to age 30 he worked in many fields, as you read you can see how smart he was in all the avenues of life and survival. He was able to read in the temple and in synagogues Luke 4:15-18; Jesus had his own dwelling
John 1:38-42; Jesus was with the apostles from age 30 Luke 3:22,23; Jesus was well dressed so that Roman soldiers wanted his garments.

good question!!!
i always wonder what happened in those 27 years.....
the only account of Jesus as a boy is the story of Jesus at the temple, where He and His parents went to Jerusalem for Passover (i think!) when they left, they couldnt find Him so they went back to the temple and found Him there. He asked them why they were surprised, because of course, He would be in His father's house.... (guppy 137 has this story)
We know for sure that Jesus was a carpenter, like Joseph, so i think that He would have 'carpenetered' until He left to begin His travels and preaching.
As a child, He would have just been like any child except, of course, He never sinned so He would have been a good friend!
i can just see Him sorting out other children's squabbles and teaching them how to forgive and make up. Mary loved Him!!!!!
sorry im not being very 'entertaining' im just saying what i think, which may not be true, but no one really knows the answer anyway.....
maybe its not in the bible because its not important to our faith and we dont need to know.....
cheerio and God bless
good question! have a star!

The History Channel just ran a really interesting show called "The Missing Years of Jesus." There are lots of theories, based on historical findings throughout the world.. did He go to China? England? Live with a cult in the mountains? There's evidence to support - and contradict - all of the above. Interesting stuff. At this point, the conclusion is, no one knows for sure.

66 books in Bible written over a 1000+ years covering earth's beginning all the way to its distant future. Plus over 100 prophesies about Jesus that he totally fulfilled. How big does the book have to be? The Bible does tell us of his childhood, being the eldest son with brothers and sisters. It can be assumed he had regular family responsibilities. His parents also taught him God's Mosaic Law; because when he was 12, he became separated from his family on a trip and they found him 3 days later at the temple where the priests were amazed at what he knew and how well he understood things.

At what age of Geroge Washington's life are you studying? I have only a legend of George Washington the boy choping down the cherry tree which by the way is not a true story. Adam lived 930 years do your eally think the Bible accounts for every day of his life? The Bible tells you what is necessary to convey God's truth for your eternal salvation.

I think you meant a BIOGRAPHY, and the bible is not a biography of Jesus. It has teachings and parables and advice for those who choose to read it. There are books that will give better details on the life of Jesus if you are truly interested to find out about Him as a person. That's not what the Bible's purpose is. Too many people think that it is, and look at all the problems it causes. No, I don't feel manipulated, cos I know enough to research and find the answers to my questions. You can't ever just use one source for research.

As a child he spent a lot of time discussing the Bible with the elders at the synagogue- sometimes for days, his parents wouldn't even know where he was. Therefore, he became a rabbi (teacher).
He was also a carpenter and later on he began to travel to speak of God's word in the very last few years of his life.

Probably raised like any other Jewish descent at that time. The bible tells us. He was circumcised which is a Jewish custom. He also mentored under his father, Joseph, who was a carpenter.
Perhaps he traveled during his teens/early 20s? It would be interesting to know what events led Jesus to Bethany to meet John, be baptized and hear His Father in heaven speak to him. Prophecy was indeed fulfilled.
Faith is what brings the scriptures to life. God is inside us and when we find Him, it is awesome.

Uh Hon,
Christ is the English translation of the Greek word Χριστός (Christós), which literally means The Anointed One. It translates the Hebrew word מָשִׁיחַ (Mašíaḥ), usually transliterated Messiah.
The word is in fact a title, hence its common reciprocal use Christ Jesus, meaning The Anointed One, Jesus.
You don`t learn to be an annointed one. You ARE annointed.
OH, one more thing, Christ is NOT his last name.
