Time has a tri-fold distinctiveness; Future, Present, and Past. All three existed at the beginning. The Future begets the Present and the Present begets the Past. Although they are three, still there is only one Time. No man has seen the Future, but the Present is the image of the Future, and the Past will remind you of the Present.

If we substitute God for time, the Father for future, the Son for present, and the Holy Spirit for past, the above is similar to the words in the Bible. Does Time, a fundamental quantity of the universe, reflect the characteristics of its artist, God?

1) Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in the trinity.
2) Although the Future is Time, the Present is Time, and the Past is Time, there is only one Time.
3) Ofcourse the future, present, and past all exist simultaneously. When the sun rises, it takes eight future minutes before we see the present light and feel the warmth from the already past rays.

That's a very interesting idea. I would posit it the other way around. The father is the past, Holy Spirit is the ever-passing moment like the wind, and the Son is the future. I think you can get some understanding from several perspectives on it but it's an interesting thought. thanks.

The short answer to your question is No.

Its_not_... gave a good answer. I would clarify it though. God is timeless. That is He is eternal, it is a part of His Transcendent nature. He existed before anything, He exists now and will exist into infinity. He is an Infinite God, the uncaused cause. When it is said He created the heaven and the earth what is meant is that He created time, space and matter.

The Trinity is something most people have trouble getting their minds around. God is simple, that is He cannot be separated into parts, another of His Transcendent characteristics. Yet he exists in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. The closest comparison I can make with my finite mind is that I am a grandfather, a father and a son; one me, three persons. The Trinity of God is a whole lot more complicated than that but it is the best I can come up with.

it is a trifold, but not a Trinity as you would compare to the Godhead Trinity. Time is but a small creation bound in the confines of God's hands... and more importantly, the Trinity has existed from the start, as you'd see in Genesis. See 1:3, it says the "Spirit of God is hovering over the seas". Jesus, as we know is the Word, John 1:1, in the beginning was the Word, and the word was with God, and the Word was God. verse 14, and the Word became flesh... so you see, you can't really say that only one representaion of God is present at a time. there has always been the Trinity ever since.

God bless.

The Father, Son and Holy Ghost exist all at the same time. Future, present and past, however, doesn't. So I don't see the validity to your question.

Time is a creation of God's. The effects of time have become more evident since the fall. Time is the framework through which we live our lives on this earth. God is outside of time. If a person dies today and his soul enters the presence of the Lord, the souls of the thief on the cross, has entered at the same time. We all enter heaven at the same "time" because there is no time in God's presence.
