Mainworry points to the "near-miraculous coincidence of size and distance that the moon appears as exactly the right size to cover the sun so perfectly and reveal the corona", asking whether this is due to 'divine design'.

Well, perhaps we should be asking why there isn't some rather more convincing natural evidence of a god, like a perfectly regular Christian cross outlined in brilliant stars in the night sky, or the name of Allah in Arabic, or the first verse of Genesis revealed in craters on the far side of the moon, or a letter-perfect encoding of the Vedas embedded in the first few million digits of Pi, or something equally persuasive. Why would a god piddle around with ambiguous signs that would appear just by chance in many solar systems in the universe, simply by the law of averages? Either give us nothing at all, if faith is such a virtue, or give us unmistakeable evidence, if we are to rely on reason - anything else just seems like what we'd expect in a godless universe.

I guess if you want to see evidence of God, you can see it in anything. Since I'm not looking, I don't find it.

Because God is a human creation.
By the way at this moment on the life of the Earth we can see the corona of the sun during an eclipse but in some millions of years this spectacle will be over.
The only reason to find the marks of God in the world is that you want to see them.

do you ever get that feeling once you look at something captivating that you and that i are in basic terms small and out of control of the global round us? like the very information of a bloomed flower, the or the flexibility of a thunderstorm? there is something larger that has the flexibility and understanding that we do no longer have and could not in any respect understand thoroughly. believers in God see that those issues are in all likelihood to no longer be only a random result from the global being shaped. if the global grow to be shaped by some explosion or a random taking position, why might want to we see such attractiveness? God gave us some captivating issues to face in awe searching at. it truly is in basic terms about as if we glance into such attractiveness, we may be able to be certain God. faith is a staggering component, from time to time, i'm getting goosebumps after I see something captivating that i will sense God in. like the voice of a singer sounding like an angel, the spirit of children on Christmas, the bright loyalty of my remedy dogs, or perchance an uncomplicated rose. certain, there are gruesome issues in this global, which include lack of life, mass destruction, organic mess ups, yet those issues also deliver forth attractiveness again. there is love and togetherness at the same time as others come to assist those in desire. God helps those issues to ensue to the global, yet he does no longer DO THEM to the global. there's a distinction. He does, despite the indisputable fact that, placed the force and love into human beings to care and help others at the same time as they are in desire. it truly is to not say this PROVES God exists, because no longer something does educate he exists: faith is perception with out seeing.

God is everywhere. We all have the God Source within us the moment that we are born. The greatest gift that God gave us was the gift of _choice_ We can either choose to listen to our Guardian Angels and that still small voice inside which is also called your intuition, or we can choose to do that which we know goes against all that is good. God is good, loving, kind and all knowing just as we are when we realize that we are all part of the Universal Consciousness. Our Souls are combined together and we should all know that we can choose to go against what we know is right, but also know that we will have a lesson to learn by being punished.
We can see God in the twinkle of a babies eyes, a friend or loved ones eyes and in the smile that comes from happiness, love, and joy. We are made in God's likeness and created in his image and his wish is that we love one another and become our brothers' keeper. God can be seen in the beauty of the Earth, the flowers, the sun, our family and the mere fact that we are alive on a beautiful Earth filled with seasons, days and nights, our animals, and the ability to feel love, and friendship. God even allows us pain to tell us if something is wrong with our bodies that are the temple to house our Soul. Just the thought that God appoints a Guardian Angel and a Guide to direct us if we choose to listen to our thoughts that cross through our minds when we wonder where that thought came from. God surrounds us and comforts us when we are in pain, grief and agony by being there if we will only call out to him to help us. I would like to welcome you to my site at: www.spiritual-harmony.com and go to the Web Directory after you browse through my site. Prayers do bring about miracles and many times we are unaware of the miracle that God sent to us in our behalf. You need only to have faith and believe that God is a part of us and we are a part of him.

If you want evidence that god exists you should seek a spiritual experience rather than looking for a sign in the heavens or whatever you can physically see. I hate to refer to a bible verse in regards to a question of god's existence but some of them come to mind... When Moses asked god at the burning bush who he was going to say sent him to the Hebrews to free them god answered "I am that I am. So tell the Hebrews that I AM has sent you."

This seems to give me the idea that god is existence, rather than something that exists.

Jesus said, "The kingdom of heaven is within you."

"Tat vam asi" is considered a mahavakyam. It contains the essence of Hindu philosophy. (Santhokya Upanishad)
In simple terms, "tat vam asi" means "that you are."

Again, this points to yourself. If you really want proof, you will seek it in yourself.

Seeing signs and wonders might even make you worry of the illusions made to mankind. I prefer it to be what it is now.

If you can't see the signs of God in the natural world, then nothing anyone can say will open your eyes, you're permanently blinded.
