The Big Four like youth. If your grades are excellent you can make a case for why they will benefit from hiring you. There are lots of big firms that are excellent so I think it would be foolish to limit yourself to the BF.

Hi John,

I would answer your question by asking you how old you would be then if u did not become an accountant?

If you are wondering if it's worth it, of course it is. You can never go wrong with education at any age. It's an investment in yourself. Nobody can ever take away your education once you have it. You should never stop learning. I say "go for it." and good luck,

36 is still young enough that you will have the energy to 'pay your dues'. Will you have the will power, though? When you are junior you are supposed to be the one working the late nights and rush jobs. If you are ok with that at 36, I don't think you should have a problem.

You do know that no one is going to ask how old you are, don't you?

You're still plenty young enough at 36 to follow and accomplish your goals. Now if you were 56, I'd say there may be some barriers, but not at 36.
