Take everything you own and your freedom. If you are unlucky enough to go through an audit, the first thing they do is freeze your bank account. They don't even have to give you notice. If your checks bounce oh well. You are the one holding the bag. Debtors don't care why they are not getting paid. Only you wrote a bad check. Yes. you will be responsible for all NSF charges. Next if you are found guilty they can put you in jail. People don't get how bad the IRS is until it happens to them.
Always use an accountant. Never give them power to write checks or pay debts. And NEVER give anyone power or Attorney.

Tie up everything you have any interest in for years with or without merit. This includes any asset with other people involved, any tools or equipment you use to earn your income, and assets that can not be attached by other parties. Seizing assets in comparison provides finality so you can go on with life. The IRS can be the most abusive arm of government. Generally though they are really great guys and fun to hang out with. D)

Put you in Jail. You can go to the federal penitentiary with Martha Stewart and LIttle Kim. My best friend did 5 years at the West Virginia Penetntiary where Martha was for IRS fraud.

The IRS are actually the MOST powerful part of the government (this is true in almost all "civilized" nations), and if you deliberately don't follow the rules, they can take everything you own, lock you up, and throw away the key!
