It's not exactly a disease.

After you finish eating- especially a heavy meal- your stomach needs a bit of energy to digest it. So your blood supply starts going there a bit more, and the rest of you gets sleepy. There are a lot of places where a lunchtime-siesta is actually customary.

Aside from that, It's common to feel sleepy while your food digests, especially mid day.

I believe you're referring to Narcolepsy. The person falls asleep without warning. It usually doesn't always occur after eating--it USUALLY can occur anytime.
