I'm 22 years old and I can't sit still for more than 5 minutes. Or if I do, I'm easily distracted. This is a huge problem because I find it very hard to get homework done; this has been going on since high school, but now my grades are suffering. Does anyone know whats wrong with me?

Hi there,

If you find that you are easily distracted and/or need extreme concentration in order to get your work done, you could have ADD or even dyslexia. Have you ever been tested? If not, there is a great (free) on-line test that can determine if you have that thinking style. Try it out...http://www.ne-dyslexia.com/index_files/Page927.htm

When Opie had these kind of problems I sent him over to the jail to help Otis clean the place up.Andy and I were lucky because Opie was such a smart child.I'm sure you're just as smart.Take one thing at a time.Practice on your concentration.Make sure you finish a task before you start another. You poor child.I bet you take on to many things at once.Slow down.

ADHD comes to mind as one possibility - see your school counselor and ask for help.
