there is no prob with running while listening to ur mp3 player...
if you have bad eating habits with little exercise, then you will be fat. The best way to slim down is to break your meals into 5-6 smaller meals, each meal eat 20g protein 15g carbs. Make sure to also eat fiber, preferably in the morning, because it helps to clean out the system. Also, make sure ur last meal of the day is before 7-8pm, and avoid eating any carbs at night. DoNOT eat anything within 2.5 hrs before you go to sleep. By not eating anything, your body burns fat while you sleep. if you have eaten anything else, you body will focus on breaking THAT down rather than ur body fat. as for exercising, make sure u do it atleast 4 times a week. with about 30mins cardio and then 30 min light or heavy weightlifting (depending on ur muscle preference). Make sure u do cardio BEFORE lifting. it might get tough at times but always keep ur final goal in mind! hope this helps! KEEP UR SPIRITS HIGH! U CAN DO IT!!

How is it unsafe to run with an MP3 player? I do it all the time... Unless you run on a highway or something it's perfectly fine. Who told you that anyways? And yeah excersise more, eat less calories. Take the number of pounds you weigh and multiply it by ten, and that's the maximum number of calories you should eat in a day. 3,500 calories=1 pound!

Depending on you height, if you are 5 feet 4 inches you should weigh 120 pounds plus or minus 10%. So this means you should weigh between 110 and 130 pounds for this height. I do not know your height.
You are consuming too many calories in a day. This is why you are gaining weight. You need to watch your daily calorie intake. good luck!

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)
