The last time I checked my credit rating (6 months ago) my credit score ranged from 598 to 620. With such a crappy credit score, why would any financial institution want to give me a credit card???

....or forget all this silly nonsense the other responders said and go to the links below.

The government has already mandated a specific site and procedure if you want to put a stop to unsolicited credit cards. See the info below.

When you get your credit report note that there is a simple procedure they offer that will keep them from giving your credit info out to those companies that want to send you cards. I forget if it is anumber to call or a place to drop a note to (since I did it a few years ago). That stops the flow of unsolicited cards pretty quickly. You need to do that with all three credit reporting services.

OK, you take the empty app and you put it in the envelope they supplied with the free postage and you send it back to them! Have a niece or nephew draw you some pictures, send them in the free postage envelopes! Send bible tracts in the free postage envelopes! Send them other credit card apps that you have received! Do this over and over and finally they will stop! This works for most junk mail! Hey if there gonna hand out the free postage use it!! Plus its fun to come up with things to send them in thier own postage paid envelopes!!

Take the offers from Bank A and return them in the envelopes for Bank B. My mom actually uses the postpaid envelopes that come with junk mail to mail her other junk mail . She's 80 but still
hilarious.

first please be aware that ur fico score can change rapidly or slowly and second register on eqifax.com true credit.com or experian.com and all those sites will let you opt out there by decreasing preapproved offeres for credit cards etc.and honestly as long as u have a score thats good cause the worst score on the scale is 350.

They figure that people with lower scores are looking to rebuild their credit, and are more than happy to offer cards at crappy interest rates or with ridiculous fees. Anyway, you can follow the tips at this site to reduce that kind of junk mail: http://www.obviously.com/junkmail/

Go to http://www.the-dma.org/ the Direct Marketing Assn. See the yellow box on the right? My solicitations stopped 100%. (But it takes awhile to get it done.)
