I have checked the Divx and Xvid sites but they do not appear to have a compatible codec for Vista yet.

Not yet. I keep checking every hour that I'm on my computer.
What a misake upgrading to vista nothing works right. Can't watch itune movies i've downloaded, can't play mpeg 4 movies I've downloaded from my olympus c770 because quicktime 7 pro is not compatable with vista. No sound blaster drivers work right. (THANKS BILL GATES)
